They were better at receiver under Dooley. They had D-Moore, Stocker, G. Jones, D. Rogers, J. Hunter. Poole was highly driven but I don't know that there was much difference between him and Neal.
Defensively, you had a group that had confidence because they had had some success.
But the biggest difference is that in Dooley's first year he was playing with alot of NFL skill guys.
SIAP - But this is from Hubbs on the VQ message board, comparing the 2010 Vols to this year's squad. Rather sobering. Hubbs seems to think Dooley's first squad may have been a notch better overall than this year's team.
Personally, I still think our OL and DL are way better, but time will tell.
