New night shift thread

I am having a crazy night so far. I got to help save a life tonight. Just about had a OD patient die on me a couple of hours ago.....whewwww! Thank God he pulled through. I am not even supposed to be working tonight.

I have a friend who is still on the hospital for this. He has always smoked weed for as kings as I can remember. But ventures in to the hard stuff years ago and about a week ago attempted to take his life. Luckily emt's got to him quick enough and I give them the credit for saving his life. The doctors have him in good shape now and is on rehab and suicide watch at the same time. ( all over a woman)

Hats off to all you guys in the medical field and for what you do on a daily basis.

God bless you

I am really not in the medical field exactly...The hospital uses my company to supply "observer/guards" to watch over at risk patients like suicides, ODs, mentally unstable or hostiles and such like. It is a lot cheaper for them to have us there it all times, then to put a nurse in the room with them. I was in the ICU with this guy last night who had ODed on oxycontin and Meth. He started to code and was thrashing around so much the female (and two little pansy guy) nurses couldn't hold him down to get a new IV in him. I had to hold him still enough for them to get a needle in. The guy was out of his mind and strong as a ox. They finally got him sedated, and now he is on life support. I hope he pulls through. If I hadn't have been there they told me he probably would have died.

And thanks for the kind words. You get very little appreciation from family and such. Most of the time they don't understand how difficult it is to treat these kind of patients.

Wow.

Same combo of meds my friend did. I hope he gets better as well. Be safe on your job sir. As I'm sure you are aware lots of crazies out there

Obsessed... I like pulling up to cars that have there window down and drop tha jake brake as soon as I get even with there doors.

I don't do it to old people though.

Btw: always wanted to operate a dump truck. Seems like a lot of fun.

I would have sworn master baiter. You know on some fishing boat.

I was the greatest master baiter that ever master baited...I was even a master baiter with my left hand.....you don't see that kind of skill often. A true ambidextrous master baiter

Underrated, quality comedic posts from two quality posters IMO. :whistling::whistling:

So I had this woman come into my store. She proceeds to lift her shirt revealing her massive beer belly and starts scratching it.

What is three axle normally? 60,000?

And thank you bro.

Yeah a tri-axle in arkansas typically is rated at 62,000. Our new KW's have the heavier front ends and we can gross 70k with set up. However though this does not apply to interstates.
Now quads can legally go 80k on a dump truck.
Dump trucking takes skill just like otr does. Hauling asphalt to tail gating rock. It's a heck of a feeling lifting 21 tons straight up in the air. You want the truck as level as you can get it. Lol

My truck does have a jack in it. 3 stage. Just wish new truck was straight piped. :)

Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
Where have you been? It's alright we know where you've been.
You've been in the pipeline, filling in time,
provided with toys and Scouting for Boys.
You bought a guitar to punish your ma,
And you didn't like school, and you know you're nobody's fool,
So welcome to the machine.
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
What did you dream? It's alright we told you what to dream.
You dreamed of a big star, he played a mean guitar,
He always ate in the Steak Bar. He loved to drive in his Jaguar.
So welcome to the machine.

Straight pipe is killer for getting the loud jake sound. I drove a cascadia that had the damn pipe going under the truck. You can't even park it on grass, or it will start a fire. So glad to be done with otr. I see those cats in truck stops now, and always think better you than me. What a miserable life style.

Always wanted to try driving a dump truck. How many gears does your truck have?

All together with the low bottom 5 gives me 15. We don't use them much (bottom 5)
Except for rough terrain. Ie gas wells.

So top 10 is all we use.

So you are running regional now? Bet you like sleeping in your own bed at night

Damn, that's a lot of gears. All I have driven is a 9, and 10 speed. Not regional, I'm local. Never leave Nashville area. And yes, nothing beats home.

What's up bro. Nah, don't watch NBA until the Griz start the playoffs every year.

How you been Sam?

Pretty good. Just taking in as many baseball games as I can while I live in A town. Went to the Braves game and saw them beat the Cubbies in that walk off homer last Saturday night. Great game.
