I hear you there - lake with a dock and a mountain view will be happening - maybe not near future, but will be happening
Knoxville transplant to Louisville myself. Moved from east TN to Louisville in 1998 after college.
It's taken a while, but has grown on me after almost 15 yrs. Have found some good trout spots nearby and have a boat for going out on the Ohio river 3 miles from my house. It's no mountain view lake, but if you put in some effort, you can find some decent substitutes.
Also, I went to UofL for grad school and law school, so I've enjoyed seeing the cards do well in sports recently. That and having the Wildcats suck so bad has been nice too.
Now, if only the Vols can stage a resurgence, oh boy!!!
Law school is what has brought me to Louisville as well. I'm in my final semester. Originally from Portland, and made it to Louisville law by way of UT's undergrad business school.
Study for that bar exam, it's a hoot.
Spent my entire spring and summer of 2004 studying for the daggum bar exam. Missed out on the 17 year cicada hatch, my fishing buddies harassed me with epic stories of reckless fish keyed in on those buzzing boogers.
Just 8 more years to wait for that to come around again. Still, it was worth it to pass the bar and not have to take it over!!
