I'm pulling for Jacob carter, i hope he could be our wes welker.I think that would be a good story, goin from walk on to important role.i just like to see the players that are not flashy and highly sought after excel in the game

Some good news.

Maybe the most impressive work of the day by a running back was by Marlin Lane. Lane handled Johnson and every linebacker thrown at him in protecting the quarterback.

Finally in drill work, it looked to be the best day for the passing game as the quarterbacks and receivers were in a much better rhythm and more balls were being caught than we have seen to this point.

What are you even talking about? Also if Florida can line up with one safety(due to lack of a threat on the outside) back all game it will be a long day again.

What am I talking about? We have had ample success throwing vs UF. UF has had no problem beating us. Thus our passing game has not been the issue. Broke down as far as I can get it.

Yeah but now we don't have the freaks in the passing game. So since we abandoned the run last year(I have no idea why that idiot Chaney did it), how will we get the extra man out of the box with Blanc, Young, Carter trio at WR? If they are the best we've got a WR we're in trouble. I hope the others really step their game up and soon. Potential has to turn into production for us at the WR position.

agreed - Pig, Bowles and Croom have to step up and be a force at the WR position - that talent needs to be able to give us some production

or North better be the real deal the second he steps on campus

IMO that is false. In 2011, Bray was 26-48 (54%) for 288 yards and 3 TDs and 2 INTs.

In 2012, Bray was 22-44 (50%) for 257 yards and 2 TDs and 2 INTs.

If thats "ample success" to you then so be it, but UT needs to take much better care of the ball. JMO

Cheney's gone. Hopefully we can do more with less. But, its not solely an offensive issue. We've lost to UF in every way imaginable.

Hill is a wasted a scholly imo. I know he hasn't even started his sophomore season yet, but he hasn't shown ANY signs of being able to contribute on this team.

Hill > Cross according to Dooley & Graham..thanks guys.
Agree

Blanc is an athletic freak, but yes, I agree with you
Wow...

so white guys can't be freak athletes aight
Bigger wow...

You never fail to impress, tim.

So it has been claimed that a kid that has really freakish measureables when it comes to physicality and athleticism isn't a "freak" because of what reason?????

Those posters claiming that able to observe multiple hours of practice with their own eyes?? Or was pregame drills enough to show it?? Or perhaps ............???

They think because he didn't play last year that he won't be good enough

Blanc is incredibly athletic. I don't know what some of you are talking about.

That's why the previous staff took a chance with him in the first place.

This is my point. I agree with you whole heartedly about AJ Johnson. He's not anywhere near what we need as an impact LB. Our fanbase has built him up when we've had much more physical players that were 25-30 pounds smaller.

Comparing Blanc to Jordy Nelson(a very very good athlete) would be a stretch to say the least. Da'Rick's strength and body control at the WR position is freak level. For people to try and compare the two based on supposed numbers is hilarious.

Agree on the freak status, but consistency is more important to me.
