That Butch Jones at Bristol video is so cool. He really seems to be hitting all the right buttons. I have a hard time doubting him when he says Tennessee is on the rise. I really feel like he might be right. It's hard to get too excited when we've all gotten so used to disappointment. I could use some good football again. We all could. These last few years have been rough.

But I'm a Vol for life. You have to go through the bad years like we just did, to truly appreciate how great the good years are about to be.

This is great news. It seems to me this coaching staff's background really is a benefit to them. Many of them have been at schools where you have to coach and teach well to be successful, since you aren't working with exceptional athletes. They could do wonders with the talent we have on campus.

I'm legitimately excited about the future. I don't know if we'll win a championship anytime soon, but I am pretty confident CBJ will make us relevant again on a regular basis. Right now, I'd be happy with that for a change...

We'll be less gassed in the fourth quarter for sure. I was really surprised at what cincy's pace did to Cutcliffes Duke team in the second half.

Interesting

Starting offense during team periods saw*Justin Worley*take the first snaps with Rajion Neal*in the backfield and*Cody Blanc,*Jacob Carter*and*Devrin Young*split wide.Brendan Downs*was your tight end. The offensive line from left to right was*Marques Pair,*Alex Bullard,*James Stone,*Zach Fulton*and Ja’Wuan James.
After doing several wide receiver drills without a ball on Saturday morning, the wideouts were taken a step forward under assistant Zach Azzanni. The bunch, for the most part, got the better of the defensive backs. Cody Blanc,*Drae Bowles,*Alton Howard*and Devrin Young all scored more than one victory for the offense. Freshmen Paul Harris*and*Lemond Johnson*struggled with the physicality and must get more aggressive, which is sure to happen over the coming months as neither showed up looking weak in stature.
During InsideTennessee.com’s frequent practice highlight videos you might notice a common term being repeated to the wide receivers: CTT, which means catch, tuck and turn. Wide receiver coach Zach Azzanni seems to rattle it off on every rep.
