I suspect money at Oregon too. Not so much this year, but from 3-4 years ago when they begin the rise.

Bama and Lsu...kids want to play for winners. Once you fall off the top of the mountain, as we have...you gotta work like heck to reclimb that sucka. Phil couldn'y do it in his last five years, Kiffin wouldn't have been able to succeed, Dooley wasn't even close...we shall see about Butch.

Jalem Hurd would be a crown jewel cornerstone super duper 5* stud addition to help make that clime. And the best thing about running backs is they can usually jump in and be a difference maker at some point in their freshman season.

i just watched Hurds highlights for the first time. you are correct. kid is unreal.

Other than Tunsil none of them were really that shocking. Antonio Connor went to an ole miss pipeline in South Panola High School, Nkemdiche's brother plays for Ole Miss and his mom wanted them together, they signed Treadwell's best friend the year before and Freeze's offense is a very attractive one for backs and wrs, and Lavon Hooks was from a Mississippi juco which is always a tough pull for anyone outside of Mississippi.

Completely agree. If UT was in the same situation, I'd say we pulled who we should have pulled. Ole Miss is getting the hype because they've been the team in the SEC basement for the past 5 years.

Do you seriously believe that Alabama and LSU do not pay for players? Don't kid yourself… those rosters are on salary.

That was my point...Ole Miss beat out Georgia, Florida, Bama and..
drum roll...Auburn...for recruits...so it was something besides the greenbacks that made them "worthy" of landing such recruits...implying besides wins and losses we don't deserve players like Jalen Hurd, is going to get the intended response of blood boiling...I took the bait even though I knew better

Lets pass the hat fill it up and send the green to Jalen.:)

Unless he gets injured, Mister Hurd is going to be pursued by every top-5 team in the country. And sadly, the current state of the Vols program is not worthy of a talent like that. Exact same story as Vonn Bell. Same as Jalen Ramsey. To a lesser extent, same as Corn Elder. Over the last 6-7 years, the Vols have really lost their appeal in Chattanooga, Nashville areas & rural middle Tennessee. That fence we built is located at Crossville

I hope like heck that I am wrong. He is one heck of a talent! And plays a position of dire need for us.

More Forker, what you got to say about Marquez North, Jason Carr, Aistin Sanders, etc.? Those are blue chippers we signed

Yep, love the work B Moore does.
He's the guy I'm hoping turns the corner from good to insane the most. Obviously you hope everyone does, but Moore was really our only playmaker at DB last year. I think he's already the biggest guy impacting recruiting. He's quickly turned into one of my favorite current players.

Hopefully TKJr gets on Hurd to be a Vol early to really give this class a head of steam going into the summer!

You can stop hoping, you are definitely wrong chief. No offense.

Your move, Jalen...
