Me too! '91

Good to see some Portlanders around these parts. You guys were there during the golden years of Portland football. I remember watching those 90s teams dominate when I was a kid.

To stay on topic, Jalen Hurd would be an immediate impact here no matter where he lined up, and Butch will do the necessary leg work to put us in position to grab him. He can't make the kid's decision for him, however.

He won every game he coached last year. And that was without Tebow.

So did Brian Kelly--but what happened when he played a real SEC caliber team?

We'll see what he does this year with a weak schedule--Michigan in Ann Arbor is going to be a hard game...and then he will have to face an SEC champion....ND 2012 all over again...

I think CUM knows he doesnt have the talent to beat the SEC elites and thats why we are still seeing him in these head to head battles during recruiting.

YEP--He is not stupid, he knows to win it all he has to get SEC talent for the defensive front 7. But--Hoke at UM is no slouch either. I just have NEVER liked the Buckeyes--nor Urbie Creyer! :salute:

Hokes best chance to beat Urban was squandered last year. He has some talent coming in this year, but they wont impact this season as much as next year. If Braxton goes down with an injury OSU will struggle..

Kid's video reminds me of Eddie George for some reason. Maybe it's because he's so tall and runs kind of straight up.

That running style didn't stop Eddie from having a superb college career (culminating in an award no Tennessee player has ever won). I don't think Jalen would be any different, assuming his talent level is as tremendous as advertised.

I saw him play in Jackson and I have never seen such a player. This is kid is something else.
If we were to get him and what we seem to have going on.. would be great..

I saw the second half of that game when he went off. I said to myself this must be what it was like to watch some of the greats run in high school. He was on a way higher level than anyone on that field and the Indians had some athletes. Then he went off in the championship game as well. If he has a senior year like last year he will be in the top 5 in the nation on all recruiting sites and would be a huge get for Tennessee. Hope we get him!
