Anyway, the original question was how your assertion about white, male christians had anything resembling a point. I'm not even attacking the assertion itself, because it's obviously a very dumb thing to say (considering most of those in power or white, heterosexual Christians). Someone else asked you about it, and you claimed that they, of course, failed to comprehend your idiocy and that you never said the aforementioned group had it rough.

Again, my original question to you: What point WERE you trying to make? Enlighten us illiterate folk... or you can just perpetuate this toolbag behavior you're apparently so accustomed to.

I was thinking about this question today while driving and came up with this .....I'm a white guy, BUT if I was black and....had I grown up under the same circumstances....stable family...blue collar....got the same education and etc. I tend to believe that I would have had a much different career path. An educated black man that has the desire to succeed in corporate America certainly can. I graduated from TSU and through this showing on my résumé I landed two jobs....I received the calls to interview because they assumed I was black. Affirmative Action and etc. does A LOT to help the advancement of minorities....I also lost out on a position to a black female once

This is an easy one. It's because social attitudes and the law is geared at protecting anyone who doesn't fit the standard of the white male. The Violence Against Women Act? How about a Violence Against All Americans Act? The Lilly Ledbetter Act? A policy that's going to cost more women jobs because employers have no protection against a litigious society the second they feel slighted. Affirmative Action? Another policy that's inherently racist. The quota system? How 'bout this doozy coming out today (http://denver.cbslocal.com/2013/02/...chool-ad-for-colored-only-tutoring-program/)?

Take a look at family law. Why do you think so many men are gun shy about marriage? The National Organization of Women did a great job of pushing no-fault divorce, alimony, child support, etc. after they decided they no longer wanted their husbands around.

The idea is that to make up for past abuses, one group needs to be demeaned and have lesser opportunities -- and we'll throw the weight of the law behind it. The counter argument (me) is that all ethnic, religious, and social groups have experienced discrimination at some point (that goes back to my Irish reference). It makes no sense to single out one or many groups for special treatment based on race, religion, gender, etc. I thought we were all equal?

Now, if you disagree, then explain it to me and we can have a discussion.

It means a lot to me. I like being a good looking white man.
I tell you guys, it don't get any better. When I strut my 4'10" 342 pound body of romping stomping sex appeal in a room none of the ladies can keep their eyes off me.
I don't know exactly what it is, there is just something about me that draws their attention so yes it is great to be a good looking white man in America.

Thought this was interesting considering some of the discussion in this thread.

Cherry Creek parents upset over colored-only tutoring ad. Courtesy of Denver Post via AP.

AURORA, Colo.—An Aurora school principal says no white children were being allowed at an after-school tutoring program, upsetting some parents.
The principal at Mission Viejo Elementary school sent a letter telling parents the program is only for students of color.
School district spokeswoman Tustin Amole says principal Andre Pearson made a mistake and white students will be accepted.

I smell social Darwinism!

Do you think the white, heteros (we'll call them 'nillas for now) are being held back? Because, despite these policies, men still make more than women at the same jobs, and white men are more employed than others, and they still rank statically higher in just about every category relevant to your post.

I agree that those policies are unfair, but it's hard to validate the notion that 'nillas have it rough.

I also agree with everything in your last paragraph.

Just going to echo Louie CK's thoughts on this one... Not saying white dudes are better than everyone else, but being a white dude is clearly better.
