Not really news. They have done it in the past.

It is certainly news because China is growing tired of Pyongyang. They are trying to establish legitimacy on the world scene and little brother is undermining their every move. If China cuts off aid to the DPRK there will zero help from the outside world. Further provocative actions from Pyongyang are rebuffing Beijeng and this could have devastating, potentially catostrophic events for the stability of the region.

Didn't they test one a few weeks ago?

This is their 3rd known nuclear test, first since 2009. They're goal is to perfect a nuclear warhead small enough to place on a missile capable of reaching the US.

IMO we have publicly condemned and shook our finger at them long enough. Its time for action.

My mistake. I thought North Korea. But it was Iran I meant. They tested a few weeks ago and had a severe radiation leak

You two prepared to volunteer for those two wars? Not to mention we simply can't afford it.

Yes, blasting countries "to the Stone Age" is always an effective policy. Surely, unstable countries dont become greater problems once there are power vacuums. Besides, there are countries in which everyone deserves to die. Good thinking.

Too bad we owe China so much money, otherwise we could put pressure on them to get their little brother under control.

North Korea is that strange, smelly kid in class that sits in the corner, talks to himself, picks his nose and eats his own boogers...

...That turns into a school shooter unless something is done

What makes it news is that this latest nuke is smaller that the others. N Korea is on their way to a "weaponizable" warhead. Thats a problem....

They still have yet to perfect their missile technology. Plus from what I've saw so far, while the warhead was indeed smaller, it was still not small enough to fit on a missile. The last one they tested failed 90 seconds after launch.

The flip side is that China is heavily invested in America, the largest market for its exports.
