Bammers are certain he is going there. Say his girlfriend goes to bama and sister is a cheerleader. Does anybody have any insight?
I don't think it was a shot at bell at all. I think he was just saying no matter what school he picks, he doesn't want fans to be pissed at him.
I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment again. No one is a lock, and UT is not a desirable destination for blue-chip prospects. It will take winning to get top recruits, but you can't win without top recrutis. We have to find a way to break this vicious cycle, and elite coaching that maximizes talent is the only way. I want to believe that Butch is an elite coah, but there's no way of knowing right now; we just have to wait and see and hope.
We are a great place for the blue chippers...just need to record some wins to really get their attention.
And as far as the twitter debate, regardless of what TKjr's tweet intention was, the bottom line is that people just need to not tweet these kids, regardless of the school choice, IMO, JMO, FWIW, ACLU, 2G2BT, AFDN, CIA, BFF, BWW, BOHICA.
Then why doesn't he commit already? He either A: Isn't that good or B: Butch has not offered him yet and may not. Bottom line is the kid wants to play football. If he isn't SEC material I wouldn't offer him a spot. So that kid can either walk-on or go to another school that he will get a shot to play. If by chance he has been offered then here is what id do. Id take my LOI, sign and date it for Feb 6th 2014, get my parents to sign it as well. Id give it to Butch and say file this away until its needed and shut his recruiting down.
Only 2 UA sites I really trust that have legit info and on neither of them do they predict UA for TKjr. Most seem to think everyone is chasing UT and he has not given any hope that UA is in it.
In regards to the GF I have not heard that, but many of those posters are probably the same ones that said RN was coming to UA and never once in all his recruitment did he ever name UA his leader.
If you have not learned by now 98% of all posters on sites have no clue.
TW, I think this is the first time I'm going to have to forcefully disagree with you. You think 2% of all posters have any clue where recruits are going to end up? I'd say more like .002%! And, this would be the root cause of all anguish come NSD, the hope we have placed in the nonsensical "facts" and "locks" that the 99.998% have posted. But hey, I still think you are good people.
I believe this kid will end up a Vol, but you can't say affirmatively that we lead. We have not put a good product on the field in a few years. Our head coach and DC, who I really like, do not have a long standing track record of putting out NFL quality guys. While I believe they have the ability to do so, it would be hard for these kids not to explore these other schools like Bama, LSU, Clemson, FLA, etc. who have had more recent success. While a good portion of these kids will take advantage of the education, most of these top recruits are interviewing for the opportunity to play on Sunday. It is hard, no matter your affiliations with a particular school, not to look from a business stand point when in comes to the schools these kids choose.
Until UT proves that it can win consistently the backyard Blue Chip kids are going to continue to look at other programs. Vonn Bell stated he wanted a championship and UT was not there yet, so he signed with OSU. UT has got to show major improvement on the field this year to compete for the big fish or watch them swim out of the Tennessee waters again next year. JMO[/QUOTE
Maybe Bell wasn't a true VFL or as big of a fan of them as we thought he was.
