Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

While your statement itself is accurate, your implication is wrong. If you're implying Martin has more talent to work with than Pearl did, then you're probably wrong.

Pearl had one of the greatest shooters in college basketball history for 3 years (Lofton), and an almost equally sharpshooting sidekick (JaJuan Smith).
He had Wayne Chism, who was above average for us for 4 years.
He had Tyler Smith, who at his peak was one of the best all-around players in all of college basketball.
He had an NBA lottery pick for 1 year (Tobias).

Martin's not getting it done, I don't disagree. But Pearl had talent, too. Let's be fair.

Rob senderoff.....he was actually an assistant at kent state when he received a show cause order and they decided to keep him on staff during the show cause.Shortly after it expired, he was made interim coach and then made their full time head coach. The only problem with your argument is that almost all of the coaches on that list would not be hired again bc no one would want them.

I really doubt that, no kind of sanctions really kill a program any more......The NCAA picks and chooses who and what they want to punish.....Cut them a check and they will stay away. LOL

I was talking head coach. Senderoff wasn't a head coach.

What's the difference? A show cause order is a show cause order....if someone is willing to hire an assistant that has had a show cause order, why wouldn't they hire someone that has been a head coach?

And most of them are still receiving their penalties.

And Martin recruited Stokes. Really don't see where you're going with this. This was your original statement:

You implied that Bruce didn't have as much talent with which to work as Cuonzo has now. But if you're giving Bruce credit for recruiting Tobias and Tyler, you have to give CCM credit for Stokes and Hubbs.

He may not want to, but interest will likely come (maybe)...it'll be interesting to see if high major schools show interest, or even mid majors show interest.

Will be a decent barometer for Pearl as Sampson's resume>Pearl's resume

It will be interesting. Could be a good way to gamble. Anybody want to put 10 bucks out there for an o/u of how highly rated the program is that takes a show/cause coach after the penalty? I think we can set the o/u at 125 or 150. If the coach doesn't get hired at all, we will call it a push.

That wouldn't work for either of you. Bet is that Pearl will be hired by a power-6 conference school. If I were a gambling man, I'd bet against that. But I'm not. So I'll just say it. I'd be shocked if Pearl is hired by a power-6 school.
