Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

I think there is a very good chance that CBP will resurface as the head coach of, at the very least, a mid-major program (if not a major program) when his show cause is over. He is a proven winner and has shown that programs not necessarily known for their basketball prowess can become perennial NCAA tourney teams with high exposure and high revenue. And most athletic programs are constantly searching for better revenue streams.

maybe Wake Forest is tired of getting pushed around the ACC these days???

it would be very entertaining to see CBP stir up the old tobacco roaders!!!

He would be give the blue bloods all they wanted and it would not take him long to do it.

I just miss watching a well coached team that seems to have an idea about what they are trying to accomplish. CBP teams had so much more intensity while CCM teams appear to be reactive instead of proactive.

Clay Travis is on board.

@ClayTravisBGID: I've seen enough of the Cuonzo Martin era to want him fired after next year. Then rehire Bruce Pearl.

Yeah let's go sign some more Skylar McBees and Kenny Halls!

Maybe not more of those types, but we could use some more Tobias Harris types as well as some more Chisms and Maymons. Hell Bryan Williams would be our second leading scorer on this team.

Seriously, I think we all recognize he made a mistake. But Tennessee is "damaged goods" now. The man has paid for a series of lies ten times over (suspension, recruiting restrictions, reduction in salary, eventual firing). Are we trying to say UT is too good for him now? Please.

Pearl is a true VFL. We aren't going to have a chance at hiring a "homerun" coach because of the state the program is in. I know some people say it in jest but I honestly wouldn't mind one bit if we brought him back.

I don't understand why it's so hard to understand why Pearl can't and won't coach here again.

I think almost everyone realizes that. I also think the the vast majority would welcome about anyone that would prevent us from having to watch this crap. People will stop coming and watching.

There's absolutely no reason he "can't" coach here again.

In terms of "won't," depends on if you're talking about from his perspective or UT's. I absolutely think Pearl would come back. Would definitely take some persuasion on the side of the university though.
