"Here's a little update, or big for Vols fans, on 2014 five-star running back Jalen Hurd.

Tennessee head coach Butch Jones was by Beech today to talk to the coaching staff, of course and been seen by Hurd.

The big part of this post is Hurd will be making an unofficial visit to Tennessee Feb. 16 for the Kentucky hoops game. He and his family will be spending exclusive one-on-one time with the Tennessee coaching staff."

He and his family are coming for the KY game (that happens to fall on the second junior day). I would suspect they'll spend time with the staff on Friday or Sunday - some one on one time - away from the other recruits.

I recall reading a while back that Meyer was very confident in his ability to come into Tennessee and recruit who he wanted.

I would love to shut that tool out. Bell and Hurd would be a fantastic way to stick it to him.

Ron, seriously, what do you do for a living? If you have a "real" job, there is no way that you are doing it, unless your "real" job is UT related.

A guy on Bill King says Urban stopped by to see Hurd yesterday. This is one recruit we can't let get away.

Meyer is trying to sell Hurd on the idea of being a tight end in the mold of Aaron Hernandez, which could be dead on the money.

Hurd is a talented kid, who could play RB or TE equally well.

I work remotely from my home for a healthcare company. Two laptops up during work hours, one for work, one for VN :)

No complaints from my company, I'm actually quite good at my job. I'm excellent at multitasking :salute:

I might be taking a new job this spring that would require me to be at the home office for a different company, would be a really nice career move and a lot more money but I'd be on VN a lot less.

The coaches at Beech are all saying that Tennessee has no shot (there is a lot of Vandy love around BHS)....Butch is doing his best to prove them wrong.

While having goals are a great thing and all lets keep it real and remember what really matters, and the is VN.:)

Meyer was by to see Jalen last Friday----according to my good friend, that's the biggest name that's seen in thus far (concerning popularity).

That being said, I like our chances.

Meyer was scheduled to come a couple of weeks ago, but he didn't come due to illness. Coach Hinton came in his place. Coach Meyer did, however, come by yesterday and met with Jalen and the coaching staff. Also, Hurd is meeting with Coach Muschamp this afternoon.

One more thing, Vandy has no chance.

Agreed----Vandy has no chance in this, imo.

I really believe he ends up as a Vol from what I'm hearing.

Urban Meyer came by BHS yesterday? Sumner County schools were out yesterday. Did they meet at Worsham's Market?

I wouldn't say that Vandy has "no chance" but I hope you're right and the Vandy lovers at BHS are wrong.

He's more like the Burton kid. can also line up in the backfield at rb or as a wildcat QB
