'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

What's funny is you think they're kidding. :)

No what cracks me up is that when I was little my family moved from TN across the mtn to NC. Growing up every time I told people I was from TN they always said people from TN are backwoods inbreeding hillbillies. Stationed in CA for 6 years I heard the same thing about people from TN.

So I find it amusing how people from different states perceive others and it never really bothered me.:hi:

Carl Lawson told @BMatt247 he just gets a "special feeling" when he's at #Auburn (VIP) One more visit for 5-star DE Carl Lawson #SigningDay

Is it just me or does it feel like we are going to miss out on everyone? Bellamy to UGA, Ford to Auburn, Lawson to Auburn, and North to UNC. This sucks royally. I guess that's what having 3 straight losing seasons in a row will get you. A whole lot of misses.

I feel the same but we will get North, but it's only the first real month CBJ had to recruit and having them on campus is a huge get. If he did that all in one month imagine what he can do in a year. Mark my words Tennessee is gonna be a power house in the next two years trust me.

What makes Auburn such an attractive place to play football? You are always going to play second fiddle in your state. I just don't get why recruits are so enamored with AU.

They won a NC recently and they have a good chance to have a great recruiting class

Not to mention that while yes they are going through a coaching change, their new head coach is widely credited for being the offensive mastermind of that championship team so recruits who followed them then have a lot of faith in him.

DE Carl Lawson: Lawson didn't make his official visit to North Carolina, so now it will come down to the three schools most anticipated it would: Auburn, Tennessee and Clemson. The Auburn commit will visit the Tigers this weekend and with the sudden Tigers recruiting surge, they will be looking to cement his commitment. Getting the last visit is huge for Auburn and will give it momentum heading into LOI Day. But there seem to be more rumors about Clemson and Tennessee with Lawson than the school he's still committed to. Tennessee has former Auburn coach Tommy Thigpen and very good friend Ryan Jenkins, Clemson had long been considered the team to beat after the firing of the Auburn staff and sources inside Lawson's school think it will be the ACC Tigers. Auburn, meanwhile, has done a good job of keeping Lawson committed and renewing his interest. Lawson will not make an announcement, he will simply inform the school of his choice and then thank the other two, so this will be interesting to follow. Flip a coin here, but I'll say Tennessee takes it home.

He would be better served with Hobby at Clemson than Gardner at Auburn. I have just heard thru the years that Gardner is not a great DL coach. A monster recruiter but not a great DL coach.

I think with the way Lawson stated he likes to work on his craft and him hitting it off with Stripling and with his work as a DL coach, Lawson would be made a better player at UT. But, Auburn and Gardner should be his third choice on who will prepare him better. With his work ethic, he should be a NFL player regardless. Hope he chooses UT. If not, he would be better in the long run at Clemson than Auburn.

Nothing
new on Carl Lawson. His father has made it clear they will make the
visit to Auburn this weekend as has been the plan and Tennessee has to
hope to weather that storm. I don't think Lawson suddenly likes
Tennessee any less or something has changed. I just think you are going
to see alot of speculation with him the next few days.

"Tennessee has to hope to weather that storm" is interesting coming from Hubbs, IMO.
