Looks to be a big weekend for y'all.

Don't mean to be a downer but I think he sticks with auburn. He's a quality kid from a quality family. He's handled the process with little fan fare and avoided attention rather than sought it out which is refreshing. Not ready to concede but it's looking bleaker by the day. Hope I'm wrong.

Lawson and his family have been more than admirable and forthright in this crazy recruiting game. I appreciate that a great deal compared to the more frequent BS slinging that goes on with recruiting and especially with the big name players. He made a commitment to Auburn and wether or not he keeps it, he has a valid reason to change his commitment as the coaching staff changed! But I do think it is honorable that he gives them a fair look.
That being said I want him as a Vol and pray he picks the right shade of orange. I don't like them getting the last word in and I think the supporting players that would be around would make it exciting to play and be a fan of UT right now.
Sorry for the book, but this is a great young man and although we are all frustrated that we could lose him, we can't be too hard on he and his family.
Go VOLS!

I just hope that the build up that several of the sites and ESPN has been putting on the Vols chances of a big NSD does not flop. Last thing we need is for them to talk it up half the day about how CBJ and staff could not close. Hope for the best.

I've been saying the same thing for a while now. NO ONE knows what Carl Lawson's going to do or which school he's favoring. I don't even think he knows. All these predictions from the analyst at this point's just a crap shoot. Just let this play out and quit getting overly excited when he says he had a good visit at UT or over reacting when he says he has a good visit at Auburn. Tennessee will be fine no matter what Carl decides.

You obviously don't know much about football. Your boy scout mentality is kinda funny. 'TN will be fine no matter what Carl decides.' This couldn't be further from the truth. TN is not fine, and a big part of that is our lack of superior talent like we once had. Have you seen our football team play over the last decade?? Do they look fine to you?!? They are not fine and it most definitely matters what Carl decides.

Ummm... Hate to say it. I'm getting a little worried about this class. Why has no one pulled the trigger? Are we going to be suckered again by these recruits?:dunno:

Didn't we play in the SECCG within the past decade?

While Lawson is a huge recruit that could bring huge momentum, one player doesn't make a program. Got to have the right coaching staff to win the games with whatever personnel gets brought in.

And some of you are exaggerating how bad off we are. Dooley like him or not stabilized the program and provided much needed depth. Now it's up to CBJ to improve on the talent level and do what Dooley couldn't coach them up. The fans lack of patience have as much to do with a lot of our current problems as anything else. Some of you say what the staff should and shouldn't do but yet don't go to any games and support the program. Kinda like not voting. You don't vote, don't bi*ch. Same applies here.

Exactly. The final decision won't be made based on liking or not liking Garner. Carl will decide based on which campus he likes best, and where he 's sees himself being most successful, both individually and as part of a team.

At least this is my opinion based on all I have read

Yeah I think you're right and I agree. I respect Carl and how he and his family have gone through the process. He'll make the choice that he thinks is best. I just hope he ends up in the right shade of Orange.

Worth a like and a bump. As much as we would love to see CL in Orange, it may or may not happen. Bottom line is you play the game with what you have. You recruit for the best and coach up whom you have.
