'13 AL RB Johnathan Ford (no longer a Vandy commit)

lol... If he were recruiting for the Vols, we would be cheering him on and talking up what a stand up, character guy he is.

This is how recruiting rolls.

Difference between recruiting for a team you plan on playing with and telling a recruit to stay away from a school.

So Morris is bitter towards Tennessee now? If so, he needs to worry about his own recruitment and let Ford make his own choices.

Neither would fall under your original criteria.

And for the record, I suspect that if he were a UT commit trying to recruit against another school, you would still be applauding him as a high character VFL.

Sorry OC, I see a distinct difference in recruiting for the school you are committed to vs trying to sabotage a school you are not committed to. JMO though.

Explain how it doesn't fall under my original criteria? What I posted explained 2 very different scenarios. Just sounds like you wanted to argue a point that ended up not being applicable to this situation.

And how do you know I would applaud him as a 'high character VFL'? Are we making blanket statements hoping that they stick? If so, a very poor effort on your part.

Neither positive, nor negative recruiting of other recruits is "worrying about their own recruitment". Neither positive nor negative recruitment is "letting them make their own decision". (Well, technically, they both are unless there is bullying involved, but for the sake of discussion, they both pass or fail the criteria on equal terms.)

Just sounds like you wanted to argue a point that ended up not being applicable to this situation.

As noted above, it's applicable.

I'm not arguing; I'm having genuine, two way discussion in a manner that I hope comes across as respectful dialog.

Please be honest to what I actually said.

Suspect:
3. to believe to be the case or to be likely or probable; surmise: I suspect his knowledge did not amount to much.

I really don't want to argue. If you don't like your posts to be questioned, I'll make a mental note and abide that in the future.

I think it was good that he didn't commit to Auburn on his visit. He's told some people he may shut it down this weekend which I think would be good for Tennessee. I think we have to wait and see if he takes any visits this weekend or not.

Desperately need this kid to come on board. His recruitment has turned into a friggin circus with all these late offers. Hope he shuts it down.

I heard Lockridge on The Zone this morning say that he doesn't think UT is even in 2nd for Ford, but I think there was a little Vandy homerism in that statement.
