Man, I just get the feeling NSD could absolutely blow is away. Would be huge to get coverage for having a huge signing day if we could pull Bell, North, and Lawson.

Spending the day recruiting Memphis! Doesn't matter if it is East TN or West TN the buzz all over the state is nothing but the #VOLS! #VFL

Several of these guys saying the will wait till Feb 6 to pick. So, I'm thinking Jones has silent commits that he has told to wait till that day and then show us the love. It would be huge news. Hey, I can dream.

Hope it plays out in our favor. Would be a big deal to have 4-5 big time kids pick Tennessee on NSD or close to it.

I'm thinking the same thing. I think this staff is sitting on some silent commits & are just waiting to drop the boom to maximize exposure. We've got a chance to generate a ton of buzz. I also think we'll see one or two big '14 commits just after NSD to keep the buzz going.

As of current commits, here's the Rivals 250 breakdown by SEC school (regarding how many each has in the R250)...

FL - 14
LSU - 13
UA - 12
A&M - 10
UGA - 6
AU - 5
SC - 5
TN - 3
MS - 3
Vandy - 3
Ark - 2
MsSt - 2
Mizz - 1
UK - 0

Others of interest: Clem - 6, FSU - 6, Mich - 12, ND - 12, OhSt - 13, TX - 7, UCLA - 7, USC - 14

I know Johnny football has helped a lot but A&M's move to the sec may make hs kids in that state look their way before looking at the longhorns.

Every year there are theories of a massive silent commit group that is going to make Tennessee THE story on NSD.

Closest was when Kiffin yanked Janzen on NSD... and that wasn't even close to what many predicted.

If we get one 5 star I'll be joyfully surprised.

I think that is exactly what is going to happen. Get to play in the SEC and still play for a home state team. The biggest winners of aTm moving to the SEC will be aTm. I don't see it really opening up Texas too much for recruiting for any other SEC schools.

I completely agree on A&M being a sleeping giant that will finally get out of Texas' shadow with the move and over time get the first shot at texas recruits - i dont think day 1 the other SEC schools will see a lot of difference

but over time when kids in texas start to watch more SEC football and get more accustomed to the environments I definitely think it will help other SEC schools recruit the area

when you watch games like A&M vs alabama, LSU, florida this year - as a texas kid it has to make you think

texas 3 biggest were Okie, WVU/tx tech, and Kansas state - year in year out that just doesnt have the same kind of ring to it

No doubt in my mind about this. A&M had their best finish this year in 50+ years (I think I read that somewhere). That's surprising to me, in such a talent-rich state. No doubt there will be plenty more finishes like that in the future for them. Glad a team is there in the West that (hopefully) can consistently challenge 'Bama and LSU.

That's my personal best guess of who we finish with.
