The Vandy staff has supposedly told Rudy that if he does not firm up this weekend and commit to no more visits then his spot is gone.
It appears they are confident in getting Wilkins and/or Elder with Rennie Childs on the outside looking in.

Strange turn of events but definitely a sign that the "no-OV' policy that Vandy has applies to everyone.

But look for an Auburn OV to happen on Feb 1 after Mississippi State if he does not firm up this weekend.

Also he has "The Decision" on February 6th according to twitter.

The dude is good but not that good imo

I understand why Franklin's doing it, but it's still hilarious that Vandy has a no visit rule. Can't stop laughing.

He's doing it because when NSD rolls around better schools miss on kids and cherry pick schools like Vandy for their best commits. Didn't Franklin lose a few of his best commits on or near NSD last year?

It appears on Josh Dawson flipped from Vandy to UGA last year. He was a 4* outside of the national rankings. Not the best player but definitely better than others in their 2012 class.
Never underestimate the pull the UGA has on its in-state players.

Do you really think if Ford takes more visits, then calls Franklin to tell him he still wants to come to VU, he wouldn't take him?

Well my Vandy friend tells me that his spot would be no longer guaranteed. Like if they got Wilkins and Elder to give more solid commitments then Rudy would be left without a spot.
But if they don't get what they want out of the RB's then Rudy's spot would still be there on NSD for his "The Decision".

I would just wait and see a) if he takes more visits after this weekend b) keep on his decision on NSD and c) Wilkins and/or Elder commit.
If any of those happen then my Vandy insider says that Rudy would most likely not have a spot.

Seems like the Vandy staff is uber stuck on loyalty.

Unlike in previous years, Texas hasn't locked up its class in the previous spring. Usually, Texas has 20+ commits a year before NSD but this year Texas only has 13 commits. They may have limited numbers but I think, as stated by a previous poster, that A&M and some other teams are having a lot of success in Texas. Mack Brown is losing his grip on the program and I think that is why they are going after some other out of state players.
