'13 TN OT Christian Morris

For the longest time, all Rivals250 offensive tackle Christian Morris wanted was to hear from Tennessee, but the previous staff never showed him the love. Morris ultimately ended up committing to UCLA, but new Tennessee coach Butch Jones and his staff are making a strong push. Morris visited over the weekend and now appears torn between the school that has been loyal to him the longest, and the school he grew up cheering for. Morris appears to be feeling the pressure and declined interview requests after leaving Knoxville on Sunday morning. There's no doubt he has some thinking to do before he signs his letter of intent next month.

There is nothing that makes me happier than an elite talent that has grown up cheering for the Vols and who will play their heart out for Tennessee.

Rumor has it is that Morris camped with Tennessee and looked bad. Might be something to that. Maybe not as well.

It's not a rumor - he had a bad camp and they were on better players. He was slow footed and could only play tackle. Could of been just a bad camp - but the film appeared to show the same issues. Later on as he played out his senior season and went to the all star game it became more apparent that he was improving.

Impressive offer list until you notice that he has next to no offers from top SEC programs, providing the Rivals list is accurate. It would be hard to imagine him choosing a UCLA over a Bama, UF or LSU if he had an offer. Doesn't mean he can't develop into a fine player, but will have to redshirt to get SEC ready.

NOt a twitter stalker but he's made it clear he doesn't want to speak with any media until he's 100%. But, the fact he hasn't ruled out decommiting from UCLA is promising. Could pull a last minute bail out.

I hope we get both.

I would be fine with that. My reservations about Morris are based largely on the previous staff's evaluation of Morris at camp. It's interesting that the previous staff liked Wiesman better than Morris and Koehler. Also, the previous staff really liked Skipper and as soon as Pittman was let go the interest in him really picked up.

Also, it sounds like it wasn't just 1 bad camp as apparently he did not earn an offer anywhere he camped.

Not talking to any reporters until signing day sorry that's how it has to be.

Didn't I read somewhere that Morris got great reviews for his work in some big camp in Oregon?

did,nt Morris have a good camp in oregon at the opening i think.ill take skipper but with his height im worried about him playing tackle because you get some 6,3 2.45 pounder like foster or lawson speed rushing off the edge and the only way i see skipper blocking them would be by grabbing them by the horse coller.skipper size makes me think that he would be slow with shotty footwork
