"I had a great time and everything. It actually surprised me because it was great. It was awesome," Ford said. "It was a good opportunity to meet the players and meet the commitments. It was great."
The best part of the official visit weekend, according to Ford, was spending time with Tennessee running backs coach Jay Graham and the rest of Tennessee's new coaching staff.
"We watched some film and it was a great experience. It was really good. The best part of the weekend was just talking to the whole coaching staff and talking to the guys," Ford offered. "They were just talking to me about what it's like (at Tennessee) and stuff."
Ford will next visit Vanderbilt and will follow that up with a visit to Mississippi State the next weekend. He'll be keying in on certain things over the next few weeks as he prepares to make his decision after his final two official visits.
"The coaching staff, the strength, what's going to help better me for life, what's going to help better me for the NFL and how do I get along with the guys on the team already and how can I be apart and how can I make an impact early," Ford said. "That's what I want to do, make an impact early on the team. Early playing time is what I want."
