Keep in mind Mansell is in charge of getting subscriptions on the UGA 247 site. And UGA is known for having some of the biggest homers out there(sites, papers included). Will wait for additional confirmation before I believe this one is officially done.

He has said AK to Bama and Montravius Adams to Clemson for awhile now, bud. How is that going to drive subscriptions, exactly?

So him reporting Kamara down to 2 and referencing Alvin not coming this weekend when he wasn't even scheduled this weekend isn't reason enough to raise an eyebrow, 'bud'?

Don't care if it's your hero or not, but nothing is official until the LOI is signed. Everything else is a bunch of conjecture and chatter.

And besides, acting as if Adams was even giving UGA a serious look is what I mean by homer fans. Clemson has been in front for him practically the entire time. Way to step out on a limb!

If you think UGA is completely out of it for Adams, you are flat wrong. He (Montravius) has been quoted as saying his Mom loves UGA and that she will be a key factor in his decision. While we are not the leaders, that's definitely Clemson, we aren't out of it.

Bottom line on Kamara, he will play his FR year wherever he goes. Depth chart is a non-factor for elite recruits, and Kamara is an elite recruit.

He has been tenatively scheduled to visit the Vols next week and that might still happen. Lots of things will change over the next week.

As I have said, I believe that Tennessee is third with Kamara but he has spoken to the Vols more in the last week to 10 days than he has through the whole process.

It won't surprise me if he does or doesn't visit.

Yeah I dont see him getting many carries at RB especially if he goes to Bama in the 1st 2 years. What could help him get some early PT is his ability to catch the ball. He could be used in different areas, KR/PR. Some think he could play some slot early but with Bama bringing back their entire receiving core plus the guys coming in, he probably wouldnt see time there for a few years either. If I was him I would probably go somewhere to be honest.

Thank you, pretty much what I see happening. Nobody is knocking Kamara by saying he is not a great back, but at Bama he will be limited on ways he can show it by them having so many other great backs. Alabama it's just beastly at this spot and continues to bring in the best hauls every year. Am so freaking jealous of them right now. I hope Kamara comes for a visit and sees what a great back he could be in our offense , but my faith is shot over the last few years with us landing premier backs.

Had a feeling alot of people were going to be let down when they all jumped off the DG bandwagon and jumped on the AK train. Never did like our chances here.

Is Bama recruiting Kamara strictly as a RB? Heard rumblings that the coaches were pitching a variety of roles.

Well that stinks everyone seemed to think we had momentum. One can only hope that he just doesn't like giving info to media like Crooms mom said early on in process.

Ath to play more slot/wr. I read that UGA and UA were both pitching him the P Harvin role, which out of all the RBs in this class he could do it.

This is one I felt good about but guess I was reading the Tea leaves wrong. Anyway I am sure those that jumped off the green train will be back on it soon!

Kamara has never been high on UT. A lot of false hope ran through this thread early only because of the ties to J Croom and family. Give a lot of credit to CBJ for sticking his foot in the door but Brent and others have said all along this is a huge uphill battle to even get into the picture.

Never left the DG train. I get the sneaking suspicion that we're gonna strike out with bof'em.

Neither team uses that role very much so I have a sneaking suspicion that won't happen. If he wants that role, he needs to go to Oregon.
