The Official Washington vs. Seattle Game Thread, 4:30pm ET (1/6/2013), Fox

Shouldn't even have started. We saw how bad he was last week.

If the docs cleared him, then yes, he should have started. And they did (even though Dr. James Andrews was basically saying prayers hoping nothing happens today).

But after he got hurt on the sideline QB scramble, he should not have played afterwards. He was nowhere near the same and was a wounded duck. He was injured, not hurt.

Also, this is going to sound dumb, but RG3 has to understand that he's playing with a bad knee. Too many he held the ball too long, too many times he was scrambling.

Didn't help that Shanahan thought it was a great idea to run the option play with RG3 seven times tonight.

Why? He should have been pulled in the 1st

I feel awful for him because his coach didn't have the sense of mind to pull him out of the game when he was clearly banged up. RGIII is a ball-player and he is going to try and play, no matter what. You need a coach who will have the best interest of the player and the damn franchise in mind.

I do. He got screwed by his coach who left him out there like a pinata at a seven year's old birthday party. After it was obvious RG3 wasn't changing his style, he never should have gone back out there.

With Shanahan making the calls it is getting shorter and shorter. Sad to watch.

Griffin is not made to last with his playing style. I'd give him 5 good years, if that. He's an awesome talent too. Luck will be around 15 years from now.

Good thing they got Cousins. The Redskins are going to burn RGIII out within 3 years.

Watching Luck, Wilson, and RG3 today is incredible.

The other two realize they have the ability to run, but do it smartly and continue to look down the field. They get the most yards possible and go down ASAP.

RG3 has no sense of that. I don't know if you can teach it or not. But if he's not careful, he'll be the modern day Steve McNair.

And I'm not trying to bombast RG3 by any means. The guy is incredibly talented and has a chance to be the most valuable player in the league. But like McNair, he A) is injury prone for whatever reasons (look at RG3's legs compared to Wilson's. RG3 has chicken legs). B) Neither had/have the sense to go down or throw it away. Everything has to be the BIG PLAY.

McNair at least lasted +10 years. At the way Shanahan is treating him, and the way he playing, I will be amazed if RGIII is here 3 years from now.

Don't tell Skip Bayless that. He thinks Colts management blew it taking Luck.

As someone who spent an inordinate amount of time watching and following Baylor football, RG3 was a risk and everyone knew it. He had multiple, multiple injuries in college and never played a full season in college. That's why Luck was the safer pick. Hell, I'd rather have Wilson too.

There's a reason McNair was done at 34.

In the NFL you have to throw and have the ability to read defenses, running qb's don't last. The media gets everyone all hyped up any time a runner comes in the league but it always ends up the same way.
