After you stopped and thought why, you should have stopped again. Completely stopped.

But, I do consider myself a big vol fan, but not the biggest. Just like a lot of posters on here I grew up in Knoxville I watched every game, at the stadium or at home since I can remember. I've spent a lot of money on tickets, gear, hats, jerseys, stuff to put on my walls, and wasted a lot of time on here. Disagree with me all you want but I still think if he were a true vol fan he would have already committed regardless of the situation like Sanders did. Or the boys from CAK. I understand VB has a lot of pressure from everyone to play for them. But he's been quoted a lot saying, he grew up a big vol fan. Well if that's the case he needs to choose UT or let me root against him. I really really want him to choose UT.

Weezer sucks. Used to be good.

Wow...

You really don't get it. There's the fantasy world you're living in, then there's reality. His future is far more important than his fanhood. He has to make what he believes is the best decision for his future, not for the team he grew up rooting for. Would you sacrifice your future for UT?

What exactly would Vonn Bell be sacrificing coming to UT?

This is the most ungodly idiotic thing I have ever read on here. I have lurked on this site for close to 3 years. I am sorry I have to say something about this.

Are you saying this kid is risking his future by getting a scholarship to attend a university? Going to college is his future. A person is privileged to have this opportunity.

In regards to athletics and his future as a professional athlete, many have gone to the NFL playing for Tennessee. If he is talented and tries hard his entire four years, he will easily make the draft.

There is no fantasy world if you are offered a chance to play at a great program like Tennessee. The sky is the limit. If a kid comes here, the future is in his own hands.

Right on the money. Eric Berry was a top 5 pick.

@patrickbrownTFP: Ridgeland coach Mark Mariakis told TFP tonight that Vonn Bell met with Bama, Vols & OSU assistant coaches after Under Armour game tonight.

Whatever decision he makes is his choice. I get that. But if he chooses another school he isn't a lifelong VOL fan, VFL, bleeds orange. Whatever you want to call it. And that's what I'm saying.

I've sacrificed a lot of things for UT. Not that I'm comparing my sacrifices to Von's potential decision but I've broken up with women because they aren't UT fans or they wouldnt switch their allegiance. I've totally convinced my fiancé to not schedule a our wedding in the fall because of football season. I wear a UT hat practically everyday and i live in florida so i get a lot of **** from opposing fans, So yes I will sacrifice my future for UT. Because its something I hold a special place for in my heart. I guess to your standards and a lot of other people, i do live in fantasy land. But I love it and wouldn't change.

Live in FL???!!! Not a VFL. VFL would live in TN by your standards.

To everyone else who commented, understand this, the other schools VB is considering have proven coaching staffs. If you think coaching has nothing to do with your future as an NFL player, I call BS. Could he come to UT and make it to the NFL? Certainly, but poor coaching and/or playing on a bad team could have a bearing on where he's drafted. People can argue, but I think if Tyler Bray had received proper coaching he could possibly be a first round pick. He has the physical skills but the coaches did nothing to help him develop the mental skills a QB needs in the NFL. So yeah, where he chooses to go certainly effects his future.

FTR, I hope CBJ comes in and tears it up, but until he shows it on the field, you cannot blame elite recruits that look elsewhere.

If this kid was a fan at any previous time in his life and grew up a Vols fan then I believe having this last visit will be huge for us, I know we showed hardly any interest with Dooley but now that we have a new staff in place we are all over him. I think once he gets on campus and begins to relive those same memories that made him want to be a Vol in the first place it may change his mind or convince him to don the orange&white. This kid seems like a good one, so I do not believe he would hold this program in doubt just over the incompetence of Dooley.

How great of a program have we been the last several years? What has this new coaching staff shown when it comes to competing in the SEC. Hope is wanting this staff to come in and be successful. Fantasy is believing 100% they will succeed. I have hope, but I'm not living in a fantasy world.

Most athletes like VB aren't going to college for an academic education. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but I certainly believe the NFL is in his mind. Many athletes only go to college because they have too. An athlete must be 3 years removed from HS to play in the NFL. So if you're going to school for football, why would you not choose the coaches you think help you the most?

A college education is a privilege, but it is not recognized as such by most star athletes. Look at the number of athletes that don't get their degree before moving on, not just in football, but basketball and baseball as well.

It amazes me how many of you don't see the value of good coaching. Hopefully we have good coaches, but I haven't seen it proven yet.

And I hope he does sign with us. My whole point to begin with was not to bash him if he doesn't. Some take being spurned by a recruit too personal and lash out with unwarranted attacks. Whatever choice he makes is the one he believes best suits his future. I hope it's UT, but if it isn't, best of luck to him.

Vonn Bell had a nice game as part of the No Fly Zone for Team Highlight. Bell is a rangy safety who covers a lot of ground and can play corner, if needed. He tallied three tackles and three pass breakups.

CUM is way more proven than CBJ. Like way more proven, won a couple national titles, conference campionships yada yada yada. So what i'm gathering from your previous post is that VB should go with the proven coach if he wants to succeed.

Wrong! VB should come play at Tennessee bc it's where the competition, constant media recognition and better facilities are.

CBJ's staff has players in the NFL...You're being a drama queen.
