We won alot in the 90's like we expected to. Then after '98, we've expected more. Going undefeated and winning a NC kinda changed the way we "expected" our teams should do.

I don't know what you are calling the glory days. We have had the thinner stripe in more seasons than the wider stripe. If you mean the 90's then I will agree. I don't know if long time Vol fans such as myself don't have a couple of eras we consider the glory days. The late sixties, early 70's were every bit as good as the 90s...probably better on a national stage. No orange pants either.
