Hey guys, i'd like to get in on some of the Online action these days. I was thinking about getting one, but someone told me it wouldn't work with a router. So I didn't get it.

Will it work online with a router?

Btw, i have ps2.

i dont know who told you that but yeah, you can. thats how i am currently hooked up and able to play online. just get an ehternet cable and hook one end into an ethernet jack on the back of the router and the other into your ps2. this is assuming you have the network adapter for your system or the newer slimline version ps2 which already have the adapter built in.

Ok so lets get this straight.. I have the newer slim playstation, i saw the jack where it goes in now that you mentioned it.. If i hook a regular internet line into the back of the router and into my play station, it'll work?

if the picture above is what you mean by internet line, then yes, you can. it's just a standard ethernet cable. you'll need a spare on of these to hook up your ps2 to your router and your good to go. then all you have to do is set up a network configuration and an online ea account. you can do this through ncaa football 2008 as far as i know.

Ok cool, see i have 4 computers in my house. 3 desktops and 1 lap top. My mom has an office that she has 2 of her computers in, and one of them is the main computer with the router and my computer and the other computers are run off of wireless internet (I have a room upstairs). So the only downfall would be, i'd have to have a long :censored: line. I think i have one floating around somewhere, from where i used to straight line my computer to the router.

Thanks for the help! The line you posted, I have one exactly like that but its black and its not long enough to reach!! UGH! :angry:
