Spike Lee thinks Quentin Tarantino's new slavery revenge flick "Django Unchained" is the wrong thing.

The famed "He Got Game" director says he's boycotting the new movie because he finds it insulting.

"American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them," he wrote on Twitter.

You cant make this stuff up!

WTF The hypocrisy from this nut case... Free, unbridled expression is good as long as it’s his own.

Has Lee watched his own movies? Most of them not only use 'that word' almost as much as this movie, they glorify lifestyles and cultural attitudes and stereotypes that are the determent to the Black community.

By the way Mr Lee ..they weren’t stolen. They were kidnapped by fellow Blacks and sold to the Dutch. The were bought from their own Black rulers and kings for trinkets and sold for profit.

Too bad slaves weren't "stolen" from Africa, his story would begin to have merit. The fact that they were already slaves to other Africans puts quite the blemish on his tale.

Fwiw, wish he'd only hang out in Brooklyn now.

he must be invested into Q's company because all that did was send more people to see it. The people Spike wants to boycott it weren't going anyway.

BINGO!!!!! There was slavery in Africa amongst Africans and Arabs way before the Europeans came there. AND Africans sold themselves into slavery to the Europeans.

You and I both know that wont never happen because idiots on both sides won't let it go

Yep, I know. I'm not going to be the one to say "I've got black friends" because I don't. Don't know exactly why but I don't. After college and the Army just have not been around many black guys.

These are the "Peeps" that get listened to in this country. Uneducated, ignorant, and blatantly a racist. I challenge him to name ONE of his relatives that came from Africa, just ONE.

"Were" and "bought" are two words Spike should make friends with... Who needs facts today when you can always turn on MSNBC or CNN for the truth...
