'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

oh it's creepy either way but an organized group tweet would have an extra dash of creepy on top of creepy.

but then again i personally think it's a little weird for anyone above the age of, let's say 25, to be following every word of an 18 year old kid that they don't even know and would never know in their life course

I agree, but if you're gonna say it's creepy, recognize that everyone does it, not just Vol fans.

Tell ur boy to call coach jones or graham up

No joke...if he's really so concerned, call up the coaches and let them know that he wants to come to Tennessee. Apparently they don't know but I would think they'd take him in a heartbeat.

i'm not denying one bit, it's done by fans of all teams all over the country, i was just responding to one particular idea not saying it's all and only Vol fans

That's what I'm saying.. These family members come here and try to convince us when they should be convincing coaches..

Bottom line is- whatever rb we get this year has all the opportunity in the world to go crazy the next few years.. They should be fighting for a spot in this class with the opportunities available at UT now.

Michigan is better than us. Sure, with the right coaches and solid players we can return to SEC Dominance, but all these kids see since they've been in high school is 7-6, 6-7, 5-7, and 5-7. We are a losing program right now, and we need to step it up to get top players attention.

I keep hearing this team is 'better' and that team is 'better' while completely skating over the difference in competition that we play. Do I think Michigan currently better than UT? Probably, but it isn't nearly as wide of a margin as some of you make it out to be. I still remember UM getting absolutely rolled by Bama from the opening kick off. While we at least played them competitively for a half. We are a couple of pieces away from being back to a formidable program. And the first major step was getting a legit coaching staff to coach these kids up.

Players dont care about that. All they know is michigan won a bcs bowl last year and we have gone 5-7 two years in a row.

I don't disagree, but the point is saying this team is 'better' while playing completely different schedules is a foolish line of thinking. Apples & oranges.

Has rivals1 (or something similar to that) posted in here recently? Dude seemed very close to the Green situation, if you know what I mean.

Long time, no see

Yeah, I can't recall having seen him post in here since maybe around the summer sometime. He is an interesting poster, to say the least. Hope he post again soon. Or better yet, I hope he tells Derrick he needs to commit to Tennessee. :whistling:

Derrick, come to Tennessee or my dog gets it. If I kill my dog then my kids will hate me so you'd essentially be ruining a family if you don't come....?

I get tired of reading ridiculous posts. I'm just getting "antsy" for Green to announce that he's bringing his talents and ORANGE MOHAWK to The University of Tennessee.

FYI.... My sarcasm meter isn't busted.

So I saw Green today and he gave me a "Go Big Orange" when he saw my Tennessee hat. TRUE STORY. Honestly. Legit stuff.

Derrick Green

Running back
6-foot-0, 220 pounds
Hermitage High School, Richmond, Va.
The Skinny: Will it be Michigan or Tennessee for Green? That's at least the way it looks at this point. With the coaching change Green has called the Wolverines his favorited, but he has also spoke highly of his visit with Jones and the Vols a couple of weeks ago. Green appears to have a really good relationship with Vol assistant coach Jay Graham as does Green's mother who is a big factor in her son's decision. The five star who's ranked as the top ranked running back would certainly feel a need in this class and would be a big shot in the arm to Jones' first signing class.
