I think height is overvalued for corners. Vertical and getting to the point of the catch are what matter.

I am confused, Volquest just put up an article saying Jones wanted to be an EE, but was witing to see us...His OV is not until 1-11 or 1-18 (I forget), but that makes little sense if he wants to enroll early. Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Just for clarification, he could OV on Jan 4th or 11th and still make it in as an EE. They can always enroll late and catch up on the work in class.

Gotcha. I guess they don't compare if they are projected that way. Still not sold on Jones.

I wasn't too impressed with his film on rivals. Doesn't really get his head around on deep balls, and he doesn't show much press coverage which I like in a corner. Is there any other film on Hudl or another website?

Did he announce at 1 or is he like the other juco guys and waiting for a better economy for more appealing offers??

Crappy offer list, anyone who thinks its decent is kidding themselves, converted from WR, and "boys" with Bonner. There are other DBs who we should pull for verses going after this guy.

Yea because Kansas St, Ole Miss, Mississippi St., Texas Tech, And West Virginia are all crappy programs. Mississppi St. had two very good corners this year so I'll take their offer as a good sign. He's definitely raw but he's got a lot of potential.

Jones is much taller than Irvin-Sills. His size has really been the only knock on him.

Rivals has him listed as 6' so I'm not sure how his size could be a knock on him unless that listing is inaccurate. Not trying to argue with you just not sure why his size would be a knock on him.

I think he was referring to the only knock on Jahmere Irvin-Sills is his height.

The biggest red flag here is he failed out of Georgia Southern...... C'mon man....
I'm not saying he won't be good, but it just shows how bad the DB depth is at Tennessee. He will be a take and a competitor for PT this fall.

Georgia Southern is a freaking minefield (not the Jersey Shore kind). If the tail doesn’t get you, the complete joke of academic support will. I can’t name the number of folks who graduated with good enough grades from high school around here who failed out in one semester.

Dude. Adrian Peterson graduated. I'd say just about anyone in the world could, if he could.
