Down to 14 Recruits

History has shown that 3-4 will move on over Christmas break. There are usually guys who realize they are in over their head. Tom Smith comes to mind. Kyberson needs to leave but probably won't. Pair, Schofield...there are always some who grow tired of riding the pine.
Kerbyson earned PT this year so you are right... he probably isn't leaving since he's already playing.

A little mop up...since he had already red shirted...

He has the size, but I don't think he has the nasty streak. Hope he proves me wrong.

I don't think it's gonna be that bad considering the train wreck that Dooley left.

HUH?

Recruiting was going decently well up until the season started downhill. The right players were interested. Some remain interested. After it was apparent to everyone except maybe Hart that Dooley was done recruiting fell off.

But it still isn't a "train wreck". CBJ inherits about as good of a roster as you can really expect when the previous coach was fired for not winning. He doesn't have to panic and just fill this class with bodies.

It may be "that bad" in terms of rankings and such. But he has some latitude because of the players who return.

Some were Defenders who were recruited to be in the 3-4 defense, since Tennessee is going back to the 4-3, they werent really going to fit, like the big juco LB who is now going to Texas. Probably why McCullers and Obrien are looking hard.. Their not 4-3 type of DTs.. Tennessee needs some rush ends and dbs badly. A LB or 2 wouldnt hurt, but Tennessee needs O Lineman considering most 4out of 5 graduate after next year and you really dont want to start over with an all freshmen Oline again.. We have seen how that works....not good.

Obrien was recruited by the Wilcox staff. He certainly wasn't recruited to be in the 3-4

McCullars is a great DT in a 4-3 and 3-4. Do you remember Henderson and Haynesworth? McCullars isn't any bigger than they were and I think they did just fine.

Kerbyson better not leave. He's going to be a good OT, and we're desperately going to need tackles.

Thats good news Dooley wasn't exactly burning it up on the recruiting trail, and they guys we have kept are our top recruits even if they are looking other places, they haven't decommited yet.

The first thing that a winning coach will do when they take over a losing program is to get rid of the "losers" and it will start with the every day strength workouts..the off season workouts...they are evaluating every player already via film, interviews, attitude in the workouts and the coaches will push them like they have never been pushed before....they will leave on their own...quitters/losers always quit.
The truth is some will be assisted more than others to leave on their own. Burners while everybody else is watching film for example is a message that young men do not often ignore.

Where do you get a list of the scholarship players on the team?

Not too many OL can line up against this guy & take him on 1 on 1, so moving to a 4-3 is only gong to benefit McCullars & The University of Tennessee! #GBOGBO

don't worry we have the best coaching staff in college football....everything will eventually sort it's self out

For bama that would mean they could sign 42.

That would also equal the amount of national championships they claim. Im sure win or lose, they will claim at least a share of the Shoney's/Waffle House 2012 National Championship presented by Big Lots.
