People this is the most important recruiting class Tennessee has had in a long time. Look at 2013 schedule! Tennessee will not make a bowl game. Guess what more 3*. With players leaving for NFL. He should be able to sell 4* better.

That is a little pessimistic isn't is? Tennessee has a chance to win 7-9 games this coming year... They have plenty of winnable games. Let's just see what CBJ can do with this roster...(there is still going to be a lot of talent)

Please tell me 7 wins next year? Not being a jerk I want to know? Remember what Tennessee looses next year in talent.

He is all over the 3* recruits still. I can't believe this is what this program has settled for. I figured at worst Hart just got a coach that could own Franklin. Guess not. Before you say he just got here. Your hottest when you first get somewhere in recruiting.

You struggle with day to day life, don't you?

Nick Saban has made a good living off of 3* players from Tennessee since he has been at Alabama.I would have loved to see a few of them wearing Orange & White.

I guess OP has never looked at the definition of star ratings. 3* players are considered D1 prospects who will contribute. So if your base talent is D1, with the coaching you are supposed to receive, you should be able to be a good player for your team.

There is a reason why every team in the country signs between 7-12 three star players a year, they are usually the glue of your team. It's a solid base to have.

Ofcourse, nm the fact that Jones is targeting some major gets and they are still listening. Those players are not going to sign with the man after a week. Relationships have to be forged. Remember, they have offers from all over, its not as easy as NCAA13.

Sure Wins: Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, South Alabama, Kentucky

Very Winnable Games: Vanderbilt, Auburn, Missouri

Moderately Winnable Games: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina

Most Likely Losses: Oregon and Alabama....

A lot of people forget that we are a coach away from starting our ascent back to the top. We needed a coach that could coach up the players and we got one. This schedule is brutal, but with good game planning and execution, 6 wins should be the floor with 9 wins the ceiling...have a little faith...I am not saying we will be unbeatable just saying good coaching goes a long way...

It is fxcking December, and CBJ has just been here for a week now. In that week he has been busy hiring a staff, evaluating our current commitments, evaluating our current players to determine our needs, and trying to keep many of our current commits solid while telling others to look elsewhere. Sutton, Ferguson, Vereen, Sanders, Reeves-Maybin, Harris, and Carr are a solid foundation that he can build upon. You throw out how he is only offering 3 stars, well please tell me who these 4 stars or greater are that we have a chance in hell with that had not already been offered by the previous staff? He has spent this whole week visiting great prospects like Carl Lawson. Also, this '3 star" that is visiting today is an early enrollee at a position of need (safety) that has offers from both Auburn and LSU. Without knowing how Randolph will come back from his injury we need a safety in here early, and he seems like the best option.

I remember when this fan base would make fun of the Kentucky and Vandy's of the world. For saying the same thing you all are saying now! 3* are nfl players he can coach them up to compete. Tennessee fans would laugh at that crap because we KNEW IT WASN'T TRUE!!!!!

You do realize everybody signs 3 stars right? Alabama signed 9 of them coming off of a national championship

Some of our posters really are lightweight in the area of intelligence. The NCAA seriously frowns upon coaches recruiting for former colleges as well as their present colleges. I don't know who Cincy will have coaching their bowl game, but, I know it won't be Butch Jones. Cincy is history for Butch Jones and many of his former Cincy assistants. Those assistants, who came with him are Tennessee assistant coaches now, as I understand it. However, there may be some assistants, who don't actually start at Tennessee until after the bowl game. In that case, I think that they can coach the bowl game, but, not recruit for either team. There is kind of a
NCAA gray area in that situation. The assistants are primarily limited to coaching in the bowl game.

Out of the 25-30 players signed each year by schools, how many do you think are 4 and 5*s?

Bama signed 9 so Tennessee needs 22?

Link to your crystal ball that says Tennessee is going to sign 22? While your at it can you let me know what 4 stars are going to decommit so that we have room to sign these 22 three stars that you speak of?
