The one thing that surprised me was that Strong may have some assistants that NCAA may be looking into. If he would have brought them here we would have had a mess on our hands.

I know Clint Hurtt (Louisville DL coach. A lot of Vol fans thought he would come if Strong was hired.) was being investigated by the NCAA over what happened at Miami.

I have no problem with Strong being told he can't bring in any assistants who were being investigated by the NCAA. We don't need any more trouble like that.

This is all sweet because the Grudenites now believe their tax loophole theory, that has every fail-safe known to man. Anyway you look at it, they will spin it so they are right. Now a HS coach resigning is the tipping point for Gruden to come to Vols....RIGHHHHTTT...

I hear a lot of things about coaches not liking our academics or academics are in the way of a potential coach.. Can anyone clear this up for me? Is it admissions or what?

Also, is Butch Davis out of the question?

Doubt thats true..boosters didnt want Strong and he went after him anyway. Butch's history makes him a no go.
