Official Jon Gruden Thread XVI

It's almost as crazy as the idea that Gruden, a superbowl-winning coach, will take a job at a university that just got turned down by 3 very average hc prospects. I sure hope it was all just a smokescree, otherwise we are royally screwed

You are right. Always have been. This HS coach was what was holding the deal back. Gruden demanded he retired so that he join him in his conquest at UT........

I have an idea....let's all go over to the Strong thread and asak them "Why is this thread still here" and "Did you really expect Hart would get Strong" etc.

NOT

Bring lots of weapons!!! And ammo!!!

I'm right behind you.

Re: Hmmm a coincidence Grider was at TN same time as Gruden
I'll explain... Vic Grider was Hargis source for his times free press srticle about Gruden having a contract in hand.....why? Because Hargis was with him when he got a phone call. Gruden and Vic were at TN at same time.....good friends. I think Gruden wants him to be his high school liaison for recruiting. Can't say for 100% certainty. Anyway....you can connect the dots.....I know more about the story but not sure I should post here.

I can vouche for 3/4ths of this .

Swain made a statement today that got my attention, he said that the admissions standards were a sticking point with Strong. Has that hurdle not been eliminated?? If it hasn't I could see that being a deal breaker with just about every coach.

We were led to believe by the Gruden "insiders" that they had been. No way THEY could have been wrong.

Not completely, steps were taken in that direction.

Anything is possible but I think that ship has sailed. I'm not sure where we go now to be honest. Most I know are absolutely floored about Strong.

Did you really think that we were going to pay Strong 3+ mil + buyout + staff ? IMO he was never offered. We will find out soon, I just don't think Hart is as lost as it seems.

Please tell me our epic news does not involve Fulmer returning for either a short or long period.

Wink, nods, slippery bananna glyphs will do.

The foreplay is almost over......

Is he talking about the Grider article or the one supposedly coming from TFP later on tonight/tomorrow?
