LOL Yay4Bray has the Gruden thread in an uproar. Guaranteed a Gruden announcement within 24 hours, said the Chattanooga Paper is about to break the story tonight. About time for ANOTHER screen name change lol.

Wow, what a strange way to handle things, sure could use better PR.

He doesnt have an agent and the whole way that he has handled this process has been somewhat different.

Some people have "their" way of how they think things should be done and he may be one of those guys.

I dont know what to think with this one. Gut and head says he isnt comming.

I think he is coming, but would desperately need the help of an agent to help him understand what is being offered. Getting confused it seems.

Check this out:

Cutcliffe - said no

Fedora - interviewed him and then he said no

Fisher - no interview and he said no

Gruden- no meeting (please Grudenites save it for the tourists) and Gruden said no thanks

Gundy - interview and a no thank you

Mora - no interview and he is not interested

Jones - no interview and he is going to Colorado

Smart - have not interviewed him but he just got a sweet deal at Bama

Golden - rumors only of an interview but he is playing the role of Capt Nemo and will sink with his ship

Fulmer - said he would coach TN.

Now most of you will likely disagree and I will read your remarks - but Fulmer didnt win a National Championship or SEC championships bc he was lucky. He had 3 rough yeas. All great coaches have some down years, ie - Paterno, Bowden. Fulmer CAN recruit. Fulmer at one time was one of the most winningest coaches in the SEC. Fulmer and Hart have a good relationship. Fulmer understands how the internal workings of the university should go and he would work dilligently with Hart in making sure those issues get handled quickly. Fulmer maybe 62 -so what - Paterno and Bowden were older.Fulmer didnt get in the hall of fame for nothing. He is very respected with several coaches and media outlets. The biggest thing is Fulmer LOVES Tennesee. We owe it to ourselves and our players to have a coach that is at TN because he wants to be there.

It may be time for a lot of TN fans to get over their past issues with Fulmer and make the call to bring him back.

This argument is literally dumber than anything in the Gruden thread. Strong DOUBLED his salary today. If he ever gets tired of coaching he should BECOME an agent.

I would lose interest in UT football immediately if Fulmer was brought back. I can honestly say there is not another name that would be as bad, imo, as him. Would rather have Fedora, Jones, Petrino, Davis, hell about anyone.

Anyone know where skeeter is, we really could use some info from him right about now.

I got some info right about now...also a big knot on my head. When Cholly Strong went to his office and seen all his stuff put out to the road, his countenance contorted ever so slightly, and his eyes got kind of buggy looking. I thought to myself, this is not a good time to talk to Cholly Strong; I'm not saying a word. Cholly was looking at one of the cardboard boxes turned on its side with his stuff spilling out on the sidewalk. That's when I said, "I seen 'em chucking your stuff out Coach. They wasn't any too careful about how they done it either." That's when he turned with his arms flailing and one of his big knuckles banged off the side of my head and knocked me silly. Clearing my eyes, I could see him looking remorseful, and I knew it was a accident. So I said, "It ain't nothing Coach." That's when a couple a gorillas came out, looking bigger than those bouncers they got out at the Mouse's Ear, except they were a whole lot uglier. One of them says, "I think it's time for you gentlemen to gather your belongings and vacate the premises." I thought to myself, "I'm not saying a word." Then I said, "I think it's time for you to get your big ape @ss kicked." So he grabbed me somehow with his arm between my arm and my side and starts lifting me up and I felt like my arm was breaking off. That's when Cholly Strong picked up the bouncer and threw him across to the other side of the way. It was just a street really, but the sign said Bobby Petrino Way. Cholly threw him all the way over to the other side. If I'm lyin' I'm flyin'. Then the other bouncer takes a swing at Cholly but Cholly pulled his head back. He didn't backstep or sidestep, he just reared back a bit and then pulled forward with punch that came out high and down and I swear I hear a swoosh sound. I don't want to say what I heard next, but the bouncer went down like a bag of dirt. I said something about how I was just about to put a move on him, when Cholly said "Wait here." The next thing I knew, Cholly Strong pulled up in a red Escalade, loaded his stuff into the back real quick but smooth and casual like he didn't have a care in the world, and said, "Let's go." So I got in the passenger seat, and felt the Escalade start moving but just barely moving. That's when I realized that the tires were spinning and putting up a cloud of smoke. Then the Escalade started moving a little more but so slow it was surreal with the tires spinning and smoking. We moved slow like that to the corner and turned right at the same slow speed with tires spinning and that is how we drove until we were off the campus. I don't want to go on and on, but I will say that dinner was filet mignon. It was rare and very tender and pretty good I thought.

I don't get why anyone wants Fulmer back. Our recruiting was AWFUL his past few years. Both times when Cutcliffe left things went downhill. Fulmer did some great things for this school, but his time has passed.

Please, for the sake of Coach Fulmer's name and dignity, let it go. There is 0% chance you will convince a majority of the fanbase to buy in to this, and he will only be mocked and have his shortcomings brought up.

Bring on a new day.

Didnt mean to rattle the cages of the natives but I guess I have a lot of respect for Coach Fulmer and still disagree with the way he was let go. I dont know why so many in the fan base could lose respect or treat Coach Fulmer with so much contempt after all that he did for the program. Letting it go....

I just read where a Louisville 247 mod posted this: "My opinion. Strong is gone. Hearing the meeting didn't last long and he snuck past media. Rumors to airport. I would be surprised if Strong is still UofL coach tomorrow."
