So yeah, yesterday I was confident and liked how this search was being handled, my how things change haha.....

Anyway, if Charlie Strong had gotten a counter offer from Louisville wouldn't it be in the form of an extension/raise? If so, don't you think UofL or UT would leak that info to put pressure on him one way or the other? Wouldn't we be hearing "reports" of some change in his compensation? Something about this doesn't add up...

There is so much misdirection, that the only thing I believe at this point is that we will know very soon who the coach is. IDK who it is but at least it will be settled soon 9hopefully)...

My thoughts exactly, our 3 supposed candidates are Fedora, Gundy and Strong and there has been nothing concrete out of Hart or those schools...seems odd. And I think, if what was said is true, that we are the best job available and we will have our pick...JMO

How can 3 guys be serious targets? At this point wouldn't we have a clear 1,2,3 and offer in that order?

Craziest thing I have seen in my entire life.

My thoughts exactly, IMO I think Hart has told each of them Tennessee is very interested and he would get back with them. And then I think he has an order,w e just don't know what that order is, and it drives the media and fans to speculation..JMO

wonder If there is a Hold up over staffing, I can see why Strong would have reservations.

I wouldnt take a job at a school with Staffers that the AD is married to

I believe we will have closure later today

Sounds to me, and I disagree with this, that he's pitting them against each other for negotiation purposes. Works fine if they all want to play ball if they all opt out we look retarded.

Believe what you want...I will eat my crow from the grill with some creole seasoning on it, if it's anyone other than Gruden, but I can't deny how this thing is playing out exactly as it was said to. I hope you will do the same and eat your crow if it's Gruden.

Look, I try to respect all people but if I wanted to see where Gruden was, I would venture over there. Thanks for the "enlightenment", but keep that in the other forum.

interesting, but I can't imagine that Hart is stuck on anyone, especially defensively. Offensively, I can't imagine he would be dumb enough to let all of them go...

Nothin new, same song and dance. Gundy or Strong...I am confused.

Brent is in the dark on this one and you can see the frustration in his words.

Recruiting note is that we are likely to land Massington the WR that decommited from USC.

Thats too much for him. I would say the reported 3.7 is about right. Still would be one of the highest paid in the country with that.
