You make a comment to me that I'm delusional, yet you think Strong will be a name that drops the boom and steals the headlines? I'm all for Strong if it's not Gruden, but his name doesn't steal the headlines.

His name will steal the headlines with recruiting and that's all that matters . Espn had an article right under the bielema announcement questioning the hire .

What about this talk that UL will make him the highest paid coach in the country if needed? Is that a concern here?

Could have official announcement as early as tomorrow. UL ad is trying to do what he can to keep CCS. From what i have been told, he really wants out of Louisville and they would have to offer something just plain stupid for him to stay. Matching Tennessee will not even make him flinch.

Who do you think he brings to UT with him ?

I would bet money Gray, Orta, and Bonner will play a lot next season. They're much faster than Gordon, Toney, or Waggner. Gray and Orta are very very fast DBs.

I hope youre right, I work with the baseball program and was able to watch some practices and both looked good.

Money isn't everything....there are things about UT that UL just isn't capable of matching

This past coaching staff was just plain dumb for not playing them when all year the older guys weren't making plays.

Bama played Geno Smith as of late

Florida has two 2nd year players starting who either started last year or their starting as freshman.

Go young and build towards the future is my theory in this case. Bonner, Gray, Orta, Thomas, McNeil and Coleman(if he's moved to Free Safety) are guys to watch for. Hope Randolph comes back healthy.

Would you take Peyton Manning as the Offensive Coordinator right now???

He said himself he's not that great of a coach. I'd take him because we'd get any QB we want with him, but the assumption that anyone who plays well coaches well is dangerous.

With Malzahn gone, Arkansas State will go into 2013 with their 4th coach in 4 years.

One of my best friends is a stAte grad. I feel pretty bad for him, they've been Kiffin'd two years in a row.

Apparently, Malzahn sold them the exact same bill of goods that Kiffin did to us. "I'll be here forever, we'll make this the Boise of the east..."

Friend said he could see this scenario a year ago, but somewhere along the way he dismissed it.

They were pretty much set up for Malzahn to succeed. That team was loaded.

I'd pay that. Bet UL counter offered at 3.5 and we had to rise to 3.7.

According to USA Today that will put him at #7 overall and #3 in the SEC...although those numbers were going into this year and Spurrier will likely move ahead of that putting him at #4...

Of course none of this is confirmed...but I've seen that number mentioned 3 times now
