Would suck for Pitt if Wisconsin went after Chryst. Would make for 4 coaches in the past three years for them.

Can someone clarify what Hubbs said in relation to Strong today? I saw someone say something about him saying Strong is not coming, but not sure if getting trolled.

I thought either Skeeter or Hubbs said we probably wouldn't hear anything today, since Fulmer's ceremony is tonight? Or do I have that wrong? Just trying to remember correctly.

Nobody really knows. Thats just the thought as to why we wont hear anything today. Not sure it really matters. Happy for Fulmer but thats not really national news or anything breaking.

Hubbs posted a comment about a friend of his saying that Strong told L'ville he is staying put. He has since deleted that post and said he should not have posted that bc there was no proof to it. That is the jist of the story.

Bielema was making about 2.5 million/yr at Wisconsin. I am strictly guessing but I would imagine Ark offered about $4 million to come there. Would you have been ok with UT offering him that kind of money?

Again, I may be way off with those figures, but I can't seem him leaving Wisky for much less...

But Robert Meachem and Gerald Jones are the only guys I can think of that weve gotten from Oklahoma. (that made any impact)

Both were very good.

Gundy isnt known as a top flight recruiter and kids in that area rarely go anywhere other than one of the Ok schools or Texas. We have had recruiters who could target Texas, Cali etc and it rarely produced. I would prefer strong Southeast recruiters with a little Northeast, particularly Maryland/Virginia/DC. Better chances of pulling top recruits in those areas for UT vs midwest and further.

Are you guys starting to see the sleeping giant awaken on Rocky Top yet? Do you think it's coincidence that all of these coaches we are apparently after took other jobs or got a little raise and stayed at their current school, when we could easily pay them more? We reached out to Bielema, if I'm not mistaking...you think Arky is more attractive than TN? I don't think so. Everyone KNOWS that Strong wants this job, yet he is either staying at Louisville or may entertain Wisconsin now. If Hart needs more time because "his guy" that he has had for a long time doesn't want it announced yet (maybe for contractual reasons), then IMO expect to start hearing names of 2nd tier type coaches...Kent State's HC, Butch Jones, coordinators, etc...and apparent interviews with them...Boomervol has mentioned that it may appear that we get "very close" to a deal with one. Everyone then wants to puke and cry...then with his cape on comes Dave Hart to save the day and hire none other than.....................................

Don't know the guy personally, But Gundy seems like some high strung type looking for emotional reassurance after a mediocre season that followed a large number contract. With Okie State fans grousing, he can comfort himself by thinking how much the rest of the world wants him. It takes a tough hide to coach in the SEC, and Gundy acts thin skinned. jmho

Wisconsin will probably go after Pitt HC and former Badger OC Paul Chryst. Poor Pitt fans if they succeed, that will be 4 HC's in 4 years.
