It seems like with this team everytime I get my hopes up something terrible happens shortly after. This search may be no different.

I was skeptical of Gruden the entire time, but I finally started to believe and the day after was when all the reports came out that he wasn't coming.

Now I get excited about Strong and it appears Hart may be about to mess that up as well.

This is very frustrating.

Strong of Gruden or Mora are the only ones who would beat or equal Arky in my opinion.

Maybe not a "home run" but he's better than Gundy or Fedora ever thought about being.

So Arky moves, Auburn announcing in 24 hours, and we are still trying to figure out if we are waiting or moving.

I agree...

he is 68-24 overall and 2-4 in bowl games.

from what I can tell after quickly looking, he is 8-11 against ranked teams.

I don't know, it's all just weird to me. Some say Strong interviewed, some say he didn't. It doesn't look like it'll be Gundy. Fedora has been "he said, she said". It DOES all fit with the theory "Hart has his man, waiting to announce". I hope that's what happens but who knows. Even after last week, it didn't dim my hopes since the insiders on here claimed there would be a smokescreen. I'm just ready for a coach. gbo.

You have to take whats being reported with a grain of salt. Those on the UT side say interviews happened, those on the coaches side say no. Thats par for the course and basically means, the interviews happened.

First, if true, congrats. Malzahn is a great coach and will do well.

If this is true, Arkansas hires Bielema, and we lose our chance with Strong then this will be about the worst possible scenario for me. This is a mess.

I want to believe that we will make a good hire, but this is extremely concerning.

he went up against them and lost - 56th class in country last year

his recruiting would really worry me - not saying a bad hire but certainly wouldnt put it in HR territory

we werent going after Malzahn or Bielema nor would i want either of those guys - not sure how this news changes anything related to UT's search

Bielema will load up with some big O Linemen and big backs. Arkansas will do just fine.

I agree. I seems a little odd to me though because of all the coachesx Gundy seemed like the best fit for Arky. I am not saying I want Gundy here but in that case I would take Gundy/

Dave Hart is as cool as a cucumber throughout this search process. You sure do not see any signs of panic from him.

Fans should relax and sit back, while he follows his plan. I think that he knows that he can get 2 or 3 guys that he wants.

It will be interesting to see if he can get some of those MONSTER o-linemen (i.e. Joe Thomas) to come from the upper midwest to Ark. If he can and finds some playmakers then it could be interesting, but it is still up in the air.

Also, Andy Staples mentioned some guy named Charlie Patridge (an assistant at Wisky) who could start pulling some kids from FL. Any of you FL guys (Jay, HG, etc.) know anything about him?
