247 is starting to make it seem Charlie Strong is a longshot. Said he's not close to the top of Hart's list. They also said that Hart is not afraid to stay patient in the search and isn't in a hurry to make a hire right now. So put that in your afternoon pipe and smoke it. Who needs a head coach?

skeeter not being on the board and or being quiet tells me something more is going on he shouldnt be talking about. Not saying Gruden by any means but hes not one to disappear and hold out info especially when he was fired up to get on here Saturday and give updates..

Who knows? They can only go by sources and they can be wrong.

Just throwing this out there. I've read as much as possible during the early stages of this search. I truly believe our top 3 is Fisher, Gundy, and Jones.

What has jones done that would qualify him to be in our top 3? So ridiculous if true. If strong wants the job and we don't give it to him and end up with jones then we deserve what we get

Jones is going to coach somewhere else....why do people keep mentioning him?

Gundy will stay at OKU...period. He doesn't want to leave.

Golden is staying at Miami and we have lost interest in him.

Strong, Fisher, Fedora...I'd be really surprised if it were not one of them. Strong has been interviewed. Fedora was allegedly interviewed but I have not seen any report. Fisher is rumored to have an interview scheduled but I do not know when.

Better listen to him this time bc he may be right. I reported yesterday that TN has offered a schooly to a commit that was leaning strong to FSU. Looks like he may come to TN now. How do we do that with no named head coach?

Can't see how Butch Jones is a candidate at all, let alone near the top of the list. Any coach that lost a game to CDD should automatically be on the "do not contact" list.

Jones looks sold to Purdue. It's all but official. Next...

Per Football Scoop:
Purdue: A report out of Cincinnati this afternoon stated that Butch Jones will be named Purdue's head coach as early as Sunday. Our sources call this report "premature". We do expect Jones to meet with Purdue after Cincinnati finishes their season and we believe it is possible that he will be the new head coach; but don't believe that has been agreed to at this time.

I agree, but I have a feeling we screw this up no matter how much time we have. If there isn't a coach in place before the end of this week something is wrong. That's plenty of time.

I take this to mean you are implying we will hire Fisher? That was my point. Rucker kept saying Fisher was at the top of the list but now he's saying we aren't interested.

OldVol75 who lives next to Fishers in-laws was told by them he was either staying at FSU or going to Auburn if the money was right.

There is only one guy that knows who's on the just and what order they are in. Everyone else is speculating. Honestly, I like it. It's fun to talk about, but I don't like leaks in the AD. The info Skeeter brings is great but even he says he doesn't know.

No disrespect to OldVol, because he may very well have connections, but if I'm not badly mistaken, he was also seeming to imply last Thursday that there would be a 3:00 presser this past Friday to announce Gruden. Might not have said that directly, but it was implied, in my opinion. Once again, he could still very well have connections though and something fell threw at the last minute. Water under the bridge.
