Nothing is ever 100%, but I think an argument could be made die every candidate, as to why they should get the job. Yes, I even like Golden. I've been impressed with him for the last couple of years. He carries himself well, and I think he would recruit well also. He would be down my list a ways, but my point is it looks like we're going to win no matter who we get. I agree. We have quality coaches interested in us. We will be ok.

I ask Strong the same thing about offense. Give me a realistic list.

If it's Strong why not just keep our offensive staff. If it wasn't for our crappy D, we would have only lost about 2 games, offense was great.

If 1 game makes or breaks a coach then Tennessee is screwed. Judging a coach on 1 game is idiotic. Hell Nick Saban lost to UL Monroe.

I am not completely opposed to that, but I will also give Strong the chance to bring in his own OC if he chooses and choose to keep Hinshaw or bring in Tee.

Pittman and Graham need to be retained.

I'll be honest, I like all of the candidates this time around besides Golden. All are proven winners and could do huge things at a program like UT.

Let me try to say this a little better. The disappointment would be because I would much rather have Strong not that these guys wouldn't be upgrades from CDD. But that is my opinion of who I would like to have. I may not be jumping up and down if one of those two are hire but I will support whoever is hired and hope they succeed at UT. Just as I did CDD.

Nobody has said Mora isn't a good candidate. He would be one of my top candidates and think he would do well here. What people are responding to is your claim that Pelini would be in over his head which there is no evidence for.

this is unbelievable - you hate fisher who has the 13th ranked team in the country and the best team in a real conference but you LOVE strong who on a technicality won the worst BCS conference ever (and won't be a BCS confy after this year)

you don't like fisher b/c his offense hasnt been impressive but you LOVE strong whose defense has gotten worse the longer he has been there and is around 40 in the country atp

Got ya, I am kinda the same way. I want Strong badly. I will be cool with the others, but I want Strong very badly. After that I actually prefer Fedora.

Seems like my list and Dave Harts are in reverse order.

I would be top of the conference if i had all that instate talent and Stoops as my DC.

The reason I'm not so high on Strong is, I just don't think he's the kind of coach that can out-coach guys like Saban, I just don't see him that way. If we do get him, I hope he's a lights out recruiter.

No tennessee is not screwed unless we get the wrong coach and that is what I was talking about, your boy at Neb is the wrong coach for the VOLS.!!!!!!!!!!

What a few days. We have seen Mora, Gundy, Strong, and Fisher all in action in a 3 day period. Most "impressed" by what Mora did, think Strong would be the best coach for UT, think Gundy might get swallowed up in the SEC and the NC State, Florida, and now Ga Tech games have soured me on Fisher a bit. That Fla. St team is oozing talent but not consistently playing up to it. That's usually coaching.
