I hope we going after Patterson or Peterson now, this whole thing like Sly has been sayin has to be a HR hire. This shyt is getting old and we need some confidence, and I hate to say it when Kiffin was hired I liked how he was talkin us up it helped with the Tennessee is back perception.. I jus want us to be relevant again and not like KY or Vandy..

probably lining up interviews with the peeps of coaches who we were waiting on their seasons to end. I seriously doubt he was on the couch eating chips and drinking beer like 85% of this board

Just listened to about 10 minutes of it and pulled up his story from yesterday. A lot of things are going to blow up when this is officially over. His interview and story read pretty much along the story line of the VN insiders. So, who is lying? Not being misled, but lying.

Not sure anyone is lying. If you believe the TFP guys story, they hit a snag on assistant coaches salaries, and Hart said no. Gruden walked. It's hard to believe especially if Haslam and co. want him here. Wouldn't think $$$ would be a problem. So that suggests to me Hart at some point decided he doesn't want Gruden. If the money guys really want him here, I think they'll get their way, and wouldn't be surprised if Hart loses his job over the whole thing.

Oh, they'll get their way with the AD. They always have. They hold the strings to whichever puppet is sitting in that office.

I don't think gruden ever had a real interest in UT. I think he was willing to see what he could get, but fans had a lot more interest in gruden than he did in y'all

I don't think Gruden ever thought we would get anywhere close to meeting his demands. And it surprised him when we did.

However, I don't think that Gruden was number one on hart's list.

So it is a win-win. He wasn't expecting to come here....and hart didn't want him.

I think hart is right. We need someone with a chip on their shoulder. Jon kinda fat and sassy and thinks highly of himself.

Still haven't seen any facts of the matter coming from anyone in an official capacity. Far as I know, Hart asked Gruden if he was interested and the answer was no. Took about 2 seconds.

That's pretty short sighted with all the local and national talk about the whole thing. There's interest, how much is debatable.

just think when we hired dooley could have had Sumlin if we fired Dooley last year could have had Mora.jr and sumlin again
