Ha ha - wow! You guys are amazing. I'll give it to you - you are committed to this, against all evidence to the contrary. More power to you.

Lol In the midst of me trying to convince them that it is not happening...I said screw and decided to jump back on and take one more ride.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but we ain't Alabama. We are a bottom feeding loser with mediocre talent and a pitiful incoming recruiting class. We are coming off one of the worst coaching disasters in the history of college football. Who do you expect us to be interviewing? Strong and Fedora are pretty good considering where we are sitting currently.

That is why the Gruden deal must be closed at all cost. We should thank our lucky stars he has shown interest in us.

TROLL.

No serious outside outside observer of our program believes this. You can, though, if you want to.

We are a great program, waiting for the right coach to restore us to glory. We'll be back, no worries there. It's only when, not if.

When the program has nearly 100mil less in reserves than your biggest rival and your AD just came from there, it's very easy to see that the 18mil was for much more than just hiring a coach. It was step one is building the reserves fund back to where it should be.

I know we have went back and forth on this but the 18 million was for the coach. It doesnt do jack for you if you hire the wrong guy. That mich or more will be lost. The only way we get our reserves up is to higher the right coach. I respect your opinion but giving the 18 million does nothing for reserve unless a great coach is in place.

Hart doesn't give two ****s about UT. As soon as Moore retires, which will be very soon, Hart will be the next AD at Bama. He doesn't want to improve UT when he'll have to deal with us once he gets back to Bama. He's gonna hire a lame duck

That is where Alabama was when they decided to pony up and get back to winning when they hired Saban

Alabama wasn't near as bad off as we are right now. That being said the same things that lured Saban to Bama are a lot of the same things that are luring Gruden to TN. I still think the deal with Gruden gets done because it has to. Hart has no other options.

But imagine how that ego could have translated on the field! Would have been something serious! Oh well

On this I agree but I liken him to the Hulk at this point. Look the Bucs ARE STILL PAYING FOR HIM!!!!! Think about that in fact it's supposedly one of the reasons for a delay. We could be the next team to be paying for him into the next decade. We didn't like Dooley's buyout and we didn't like Lane jumping on us what do you think Gruden could do to us in those 2 fronts?

The man would have immense power to both completely transform this University but that power goes both ways. He could leave us bankrupt just as easily as lead us to the promise land. He essentially wanted no perfomance guarantees in any buyout while tieing up 50 million of out top boosters monies. On top of that he wanted complete autonomy on recruiting and has no recent college experience.

Uranium is really awesome but only if you can harness it.

Short sighted view of our program. We are Tennessee ! A top ten program. Period. Were we in the top ten last year? No. But you have to think in a grand scheme of things context.

My caveat...the Hart talk is way premature. We should all wait for the hire before we form the mob.

One thing I'm becoming more sure of. I think there is an extreme lag on any info we are getting. Maybe two to three weeks.

If you listen to 1180 right now they will have you ready to fight someone. DAVE HART. Saying Hart knows that he will only be here a short time. May not be true but saying he is renting a house and no way he wants to deal with Gruden while he is here. Also claiming that Mal Moore is 73 and just went in the hospital with heart murmor and Hart may think he can go back to Bama. Really, really hope this is just talk.

Strong himself clearly took his name out of this search as well so how is it he's still on the table after denials but gruden isn't?

Because some people have such an inferiority complex that they can never believe that a rock star coach would ever come here.

Oh, and from me and my family, thank you for your service:hi:

Hart knows how much making the right hire generates dollars to the athletic department. Hart knows to the dollar the money Saban has generated for Bama.

Would make way more sense to make a splash hire that will do that for the university than asking for 18 million in reserves.

He also has no incentives to completely eff us or this hire up. Look the man is getting paid. It's coke and pepsi type stuff if Pepsi hires a CEO away from Coke it's just business.

Agreed the 18mil is only the first step but the hire doesn't have be great in everyone's mind initially. It just has be great in terms of wins. Plenty of possibilities out there for that besides JG. Winning the press conference would win the season ticket battle but that's all I would do

It's all about balance. If you believe all of the rumors about available cash then it's easy to presume if Lemonte and Gruden have any real desire not to completely dick over the University and or not just string us along he'll be here.

Well, then I'm just going to pretend that it is three weeks from now and GRUDEN is our coach!!

I think Hart was butthurt over the booster's actions. I am choosing to believe that was early in the process.

Folks, some Auburn fans think they could get Jeff Fisher from the Rams. So there are folks out there more delusional than we may be perceived to be.

Everybody ease up on Hart. We are basing our opinion of him on rumors and speculations. Wait till we hire our coach before ripping him. After all he is on our side guys. He is not the enemy.
