Just curious...
Has there ever been a situation before where an agent basically ridiculed the possible destination of their client?

If so, did the client/coach then take the job?

Not sure, but after hearing Gruden talk of UT in the past i would represent myself from here in out. Gruden seems perfectly competent to deal with this on his own.

If the doctor gave any of you guys 10 days to live and that's it, I'd expect to see you guys standing in the hospital middle finger raised on day 11. Grudinites don't die.

My point exactly...IF I am Gruden, and I have ties here at UT, no way I let that comment rest.

No Way.

Okay. We are saying the same thing. I missed your original point. So, basically we have argued for the last six posts on the same side.

The interwebs is fun! :good!:

The sad thing is , I actually believe Hart was going to keep Dooley for another year , if he made it to a bowl. I think firing him was the last thing he wanted to do.

Haha Basilio mentioned something along these lines earlier today. If true you'd have to question the man's judgement

Haiti bound in 7 hours Grudenites! I'm going to be out of the loop for 7 days.

I missed most of the episode today but caught the cliff notes version tonight and some play-by-play from Patrick. Thanks man!

I'll have very little communications with maybe one day of internet access. However, when I do check back in I expect you guys and gals (that's you PC and Smokey) to have King Gruden in the bag. :)

Hang in there Grudenites. Thanks again Patrick!

I'm all-in 'til we're all out. Gruden 2012!
Have a great trip SLOVNT! :wavey:

To be honest last couple of times he's been on he's sound frazzled, stressed, and wore out....think whatever has been going on is wearing on him too...

Watching Talladega Nights.. Heard this and thought I would make it relevant.

"Hey, Grudenites, I just wanted to share a piece of personal information with you. I've got a...a Full Gruden right now because THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE BECAUSE WERE GETTIN' GRUDEN SOON AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT OH MY GOD!!!

I agree with you 100% dude. If gruden truly "loves" TN and this university so much, why would he let THAT be his official statment? Yes, it was his agent, but his agent is supposed to speak FOR him. wtf? Maybe that's actually how he feels

I'm interested in this answer too.

I am still all in. All that has happened doesnt make sense with the season we have had.Not just the loses and the half empty stadiums, but Bama making our house their bitc*. Hart saw it. Peyton saw it. The Money saw it. Everyone seemed to be working together till now. Doesnt make sense and dont believe it. Gotta be more smoke. Someone has to have more time. Something is still happening and I will believe that until I see someone else taking the job. Not to mention the OG's and all the info that matched from different angles. Also believe Gruden wants to return to his roots in coaching and his youth. I really do NOT believe he would respond in a way that would negate what Tennessee and Coach Majors means to him..maybe im wrong guess we will see...NO WAY!! No inside info just gut feeling Jon Gruden next head coach at the University of Tennessee.

The "Blood Bath" occurred on Wednesday between AD and BTB (Big Time Boosters). I'm not sure that they can be repaired. It will be interesting so see how much financial support will be offered to the next candidate.

I'm not sure what you know, but is there any truth to a meeting between only Hart (no boosters present and without their knowledge) and JG/Lamonte....immediately after Gruden would no longer take calls from anyone affiliated with Tennessee.

Same person told me Hart was against the Gruden hire from the beginning and was furious that contact had been made before Dooley was fired. Also, before thanksgiving, boosters went over Harts head to Cheek and got him fully on board 100%....the 18 million resulted from this.

Also, the week leading up to Alabama, three prominent boosters met with Gruden face to face and got a verbal agreement. A few days later six boosters agreed to finance Gruden's salary, the current staff's buyout. The only thing the University would be responsible for was Gruden's staff and a few of their buyouts from other schools. Boosters wanted Dooley canned following SC loss but Hart was still wanting to bring him back for a fourth season. After Troy and Hart still refusing to make a decision, two of the six boosters dropped out of the financial agreement.

Heard all of this from the same person. I have confirmed some of it with a few people that know more than me. Haven't wanted to drop such specific details but I don't think it really matters anymore.
