This list includes "insiders" and even media (990 contradicts itself). I find it hard to believe something either was really, really close to happening or still could with Gruden because this list is HUGE even taking into consideration a few may have been "trolls". I will start with media because list is fewer.
Chris Low 'Gruden has reached out', "247 confirms 2 former coaches says Gruden has contacted UT", Wes Rucker 'Gruden wants Bisaccia to be S/C coach, Gary Haskew 'got big fish', Ainge, Dinocosta, Hyams "talks have broken off", and footballscoop.com.
Now to "insiders"
Springbokvol,'borovol, Little DTO, Doc_vol or docvol, yay4bray, babyvol, OCI, Orangeslice, Blackmarket803, Voldawgforever, Ericvol2096, Jayvols, Miramarvol (Tony B. imo), lexvol, volfan32, matts42012, emiddle, televol volreporter, jake , "huck" on VQ, bcartervol98, volmax, stlcardinals2618.
Did I leave anyone out? What do you all think?:hi:
Springbokvol, Little DTO, Babyvol, Yay4 bra
Source. I find that hard to believe.[/Q
If Smart was his guy he would never have said the next HC would have to have head coaching experience. What source do you have that makes you think Smart is. Skeeter has already said Strong was interviewed tonight and said he believed our next HC was coaching the other night and interviewing tonight. Believed he probably gets announced in the next few days. Also mentioned how much these recruits like Strong and all the great stories they have about him. That doesnt have a sound of Smart being the #1 guy and he was even saying that when Louis and Rutgers was playing. He said Strong has zero interest in Au nor Ark but is very much interested in UT. Your up, what you got?
Also to add to that TFP is old school like still living the the 1920's see....only the facts see!
So I think their editors would have wanted to know who sources were, and after agent came out and said what he did would have wanted to know even more....and then he went on radio and stood by story.....something WAS going on.....no way this was fantasy... but likely not to level presented in here either.
I think after Gruden looked into what college football coaching is all about, he decided it wasnt for him. I think the reason he gave it a look was for his wife and because of his friendship with Peyton. Not sure he would want to be out on the road recruiting hs kids and their families, dealing with the ncaa, 20 hour rules and everything else that comes along with it. I dont know that for sure, just hearing bits here and there and trying to put them together. I do not believe Gruden ever had a contract in front of him from Tennessee, im sure boosters talked money with him though.
The "Blood Bath" occurred on Wednesday between AD and BTB (Big Time Boosters). I'm not sure that they can be repaired. It will be interesting so see how much financial support will be offered to the next candidate.Wish I knew coffee. Wish I knew. Thats why I came back here. Freak is one of my friends, and when I told him about this stuff weeks ago he said some guys on here were saying the same stuff. So came back looking for some answers.
It's possible Gruden just said the heck with it, and decided to call it off. However, I think that scenario is unlikely. In which case, something much more irritating may have happened. I'm still waiting for someone else to corroborate what may have happened last night given the strange nature of my info last night coming in a wave out of nowhere,
In fairness how do you know that is the case? If he did I agree....but I don't know how anyone could confirm that based on anything but rumor.....I will say though I never did like the idea od a Bama alumni as AD....![]()
I can't specify any particular reason for this, but I started hating them quite some time ago. Very full of themselves.
