Official Jon Gruden Thread XIV

The first thing said to me about it by a person in know is that Hart is a prick. I would venture to say that he rubbed someone the wrong way. If Gruden is not the coach that Hart wanted to put his stamp on ( and I fully believe that Hart did not and does not want to hire Gruden) then there are various and sundry ways to sour a deal!

Still can be fixed. Seriously. Hey Dave, get in line or get in the unemployment line.

If hart is the problem and whats being reported is true, i think haslams fire hart soon and try to recover the deal. This has been months in the works and i dont think haslam will let it fail. We will see i guess.

What is the point? Its over.

This is a high stakes poker game A reporter at TNP with 20 plus years of integrity who had his editor back check sources should not be overlooked yes maybe money folks said no to assistant's salary number yes there is a card in deck that causes a fold but this move if it ever was going to happen was going to be a search that would set precedent for how it would go down This society now a days is so A D D it makes it easier to manipulate with new media If we end up with different coach God Bless him and his family but if at end of day high stakes smoke would have had to have happened to close deal.... longer search goes the better at this point ... Agents are paid to lie on many fronts and venues

If you believe anything you heard today I just do not know what to tell you.

Do you really believe GRudens agent that no negotiations had taken place? or have you heard other things.

This sounds like me to be part of the plan from the beginning.
Now Hart has to do his job and his part in the process.

Agree

how many more times are we going to have to see this and the urban meyer one??

i'm curious as to what Alabama and Ohio State's football forums were saying during these times. I wonder if Alabama had an official saban thread XIV or OSU meyer thread XIII?

All this will be forgotten when...

I believe the reports from today, including Lamontes piece. It lines up with what AD sources have said all along. Thats why I am leaving predictions up to Skeeter and LWS that obviously know far more than me or about anyone else in this thread when it comes to the AD. Boosters are full of ****.

Thanks. I read a lot of you guys comments and appreciate it.

I had to ask since so many things are becoming contradictory of everything that was said. It's just hard to believe

Just guessing, but I do not think he had a pulse of how big it got, and got there very quickly. I think the info he released today was a direct result of this thread and the Chattanooga article that may have not been written without this thread. I think he said something as soon as he thought he had to, and did it through Hubbs and VQ.

I DO NOT blame Hart for this. I put the blame on Gruden for sitting back and enjoying the attention knowing he wasn't coming here. I no longer believe he contacted UT, and also no longer believe he ever had a contract or MOU in hand. JMO but its what I choose to believe looking at all the information. Take it or leave it. A little bitter I got burned, but cannot tell those people that burned me "Hey I posted that **** you told me online and now look ridiculous" lol.

Hart will get scapegoated but I bet when its all said and done and everything comes out it will prove that UT has infinitely more interest in hiring Gruden than Gruden ever had toward UT.

Gruden can go to H*** if he indeed played us...
Karma has a way of Humbling those types

This... I'm thinking so. A power play on both sides to get the deal done: Hart showing resolve to move on beyond Gruden and LaMonte trying to embarrass Hart publicly to get him back on the phone. LaMonte's move, if that's what it is, has obviously been effective with the way that the boosters have been lighting up his phone today. Sounds like what Hargis is saying is true: there is an offer and its' final. LaMonte is still playing for more concessions, Hart doing interviews is him signaling that he won't budge. It'll be interesting to see what the final decision is, but it looks for all the world like posturing from both sides to get what they want.

This makes sense to me - I hope y'all don't consider me baggage - 'cause  I'm a believer...

I tried to find one today from Saban and Alabama. Only thing I found was an article in mid-December from Neal McReady telling Alabama fans to give up on Saban. He wasn't coming

And Carter is alluding to there still being a $$$$ divide which when you think about the sums and some guarantees I could see.

One thing for sure: today shut down media predictions. Be a couple days before any new info. Hope not but afraid we are completely in the dark.

So Hart's the fall guy and not the pariah?

I have always been on bcarters side and still hanging around there. But I have always sided with the $$$$ on this and have made that clear all along.

This new side of Bcarter that says Hart is the good guy and the $$$$ is FOS just doesn't sit well with me.

Not a shot a Bcarter at all... but that is difficult for me just my take
