You guys have enough info to connect the dots. I'm not saying anything else. Do some legwork and stop expecting everyone to just give you handouts.

Also, it's more fun when you guys finally figure it out.

PS. It's good news not bad.

I appreciate the info you've brought, but I've moved to the "I have to see it to believe it" stage.

I think I can actually see what YFB is talking about. I kind of eluded to it after the news broke today as a reason I was still holding out. That is the one thing that keeps me believing right now.

So, elaborate since he won't.

Didn't someone say that Hart wanted it to look like he was doing legitimate interviews and not look like they already got there man?

Could this be what this all is?

This... I'm thinking so. A power play on both sides to get the deal done: Hart showing resolve to move on beyond Gruden and LaMonte trying to embarrass Hart publicly to get him back on the phone. LaMonte's move, if that's what it is, has obviously been effective with the way that the boosters have been lighting up his phone today. Sounds like what Hargis is saying is true: there is an offer and its' final. LaMonte is still playing for more concessions, Hart doing interviews is him signaling that he won't budge. It'll be interesting to see what the final decision is, but it looks for all the world like posturing from both sides to get what they want.

I cannot believe I am about to even type these words.

WHAT IF:

Someone had said yesterday or earlier that SEC rules say that a team cannot name a new coach this near to the SEC championship game, if that is true what if the penalty for doing that is steep?

in other words:

WHAT IF this deal had to be silenced immediately to keep the school from getting some sort of SEC punishment for breaking the rules?

long shot? yup. So long, in fact, that I don't even want to consider it but I couldn't get the thought out of my head.

Sadly I think if Gruden is going to happen we are going to have to wait a minimum of like 2 weeks unfortunately. The good thing is we would end up with Gruden. Sadly we might have to wait a while to hear any bit of good news to give us hope to last that long.
