I seriously doubt Franklin gets a call. Can't give him the opportunity to publicly turn UT down. He'd crow about that for his entire life.

That's how I feel. Jimbo kind of scares me with all that talent at fsu and not much to show for it.

I've been laughing about it for a while. As VN can tell, I haven't posted much in here since Dooley was fired simply because of this coaching search fiasco. I've never believed it, and still don't believe there is any chance whatsoever. Had I posted that view about a week ago, I probably would have been burned at the stake by VN's finest insiders.

He's had bad losses, but it is only his third year coaching. He brings in elite players, especially on defense and he has quality wins over teams such as Clemson, South Carolina, and UF. He didn't have a very difficult rebuilding job, but it was a rebuilding job none the less. Their team is very young.

Ok well Ark is letting the world know they are willing to do whatever it takes to get a coach that is a proven winner, they are wiling to go after anybody.
Yet here we sit with an AD thats going after coaches that have done nothing but produce results that ended up getting Fulmer fired. Gundy is NOT gonna leave his alma mater so he shouldn;t even be mentioned and the names that are coming up have proven they will be mediocre at best, in weak conferences. Golden and Fedora are what we got tired of Fulmer being, coaches that will win 7-9 games a year but thats it.
We should at least go to TCU and offer Patterson a huge contract and make him say no, not just assume and just aim for the most mediocre coaches we can.
Of the names mentioned the oly guy Hart could hire and not make me burn all my UT gear and quit watching CFB, would be Strong and thats just because he hasn't had time to prove he is nothing more than mediocre like the others have.

So Fedora has done what again???? Giovanni Bernard is an outstanding player and has done what Bridgewater has done for Strong. However Fedora didn't recruit him and I'd rather let Fedora stay at UNC and go after Strong.

A lot of things in this search just seem strange imo. Why was today the first time Hart talked to Gruden's agent? Was Gruden that far down Hart's list or is Hart just now starting this process? Some of this stuff doesn't make sense.

People would bash Hubbs, skeeter, or any other person who actually had quality info to share because it wasn't what they wanted to hear. I tried telling people it made absolutely no sense for Gruden to wait to be hired, but they are already had their minds set.

I like Strong, too. Stoops, Fedora, Strong would be my top 3. Not sure #1 is realistic IMO. Strong and Fedora would excite me.

Lol, do you even read your posts and consider what your posting before hitting submit? So when Arkansas goes after a long shot they are doing everything they can to get a proven winner, but when we go after a long shot in Gundy he shouldn't even be on the list? Sounds like a double standard to me.

I would never laugh at any talk on here of Gruden to UT. It is a testament to how down this fan base is and to how badly it wants to win again. Maybe the talk was inaccurate, but certainly not laughable. But I guess that's the point where we are as a fan base. We have nothing to cheer for on the field, so we take solace in laughing at one another.
