I have to wonder if were not still in the midst of negotiations. This could all be wrangling. It aint over till Dave Hart trots someone else out there to the podium. I refuse to believe the work of all involved behind the scenes ends that ubruptly.

Was it confirmed that Hart was in Oklahoma yesterday?

Either way, this has gotten out and the PR for Hart will be completely negative unless he can come out and save face.

I would be shocked if Hart doesn't officially respond one way or the other at this point.

I know I would...we aren't talking about a handful of people on a message board. This is national now.

Let it go a couple weeks. Honestly, if you can get a Homerun hire you need to let this go on as long as it needs to get Gruden. That way both sides can find a medium ground to work with.

Hire Strong and be done with it--the man has excellent credentials that fit our needs in every way. Total package--head coach experience, serious positions at serious programs, defensive expertise, florida recruiting contacts, knows the sec and what it takes to win in the sec, which nobody else has. Far more qualified than smart--please.

Finally got the call I have been waiting for! I can 100% confirm there was a meeting with KPD about security for the PC! No time frame was discussed tho... This is coming from my brother in law who is head of security for KPD and UT.

He also backs up what my other cop buddy said and says hang up is asst coach $$$.

and if he had said Gruden was coming you would have called him the most reliable reporter out there and that he is "rock solid".

Can we just end this and focus on getting a quality, proven coach? I swear we could go out and hire Patterson and you "grudenites" would be all up-in-arms. It's pathetic.

I say screw Gruden and lets put our best foot forward for Patterson or Petersen.

I think Smart was who he wanted all along, but his presser goes against that thought. I am starting to think we may all be disappointed in the next few days 😰
