wesrucker247 Sad to see how many people have been raised to hate people they don't know. Not surprising, but sad nonetheless.

I don't hate the guy -- He just really comes across as a pompous dick. Its just his personality. The worst part of it is he refuses to recognize or acknowledge it. He would probably be a lot happier and get a lot less venom from readers if he would just relax and understand what his job is.

For example: rather than repeatedly belittle tennessee fans for thinking Gruden is coming when all of his sources say otherwise, he could say something like "Look, I know you all are excited about the prospects of getting a homerun coach like Gruden, but all of my professional contacts have said it really isn't looking good. I wish that he was coming too because it would make my job much more interesting and probably add a much larger following to my company's website, so it truly would be a win-win for the beat writers and the fans... but its just not looking good so far. If you join my site I will keep you up to date with all of the information my sources give me as I get it in." ... Boom - I would like that guy and probably think about joining his site because he's being real with me and not talking down to me or acting like he is the great and powerful Oz of Tennessee football information.
