Well, I'm pretty sure of one thing if this press conference is to announce a coach it ain't Strong or anyone other than Gruden. No way Hart lets all this Gruden tension keep building without time for fans to absorb he isn't coming. So, please by all means have a press conference!

Could be for some other candidate who doesn't currently have a coaching job from way out of left freaking field. Note to self: think happy thoughts.

Tomorrow at 2 they walk in and Gruden is standing there, black suit, orange tie, Chucky scowl, "Guys, I'm sure most of you know me, if not my name is Jon Gruden. The days of kicking Tennessee around are over."

There will NOT be a presser to announce anything but Gruden tomorrow.


Think for a second:

1) You don't have a presser to announce Gruden is not coming to UT. All that does is make the University and fanbase look like fools. You send out a concise press release to do that.

2) You don't announced a DIFFERENT coach without denouncing Gruden rumors first and letting fanbase settle. Imagine the uproar tomorrow if they announce Strong or Golden tomorrow at 3pm. State of Tennessee goes into a collective fetal position.
