Exactly. Until Hart rules Gruden out, I can't see another coach being named, and there's no way I see him calling a presser just to say it's a no-go on Gruden. That's something you'd just get quoted verbatim and let the radio jockeys play with on air.

Agreed. I hope Hart and PR people are saavy enough to know this. If it isnt someone else, a firm statement saying Gruden isn't the next coach, should be released a few days before announcement

Butch Jones appearing as next possible Purdue coach is big indication imo UT has their guy and Butch isnt their guy. This is commonplace when a school has their guy, others will accept other jobs or pull out of contention for a job they were never offered
